Everyone, the Wings aren't trading for a goalie. Aside from the fact that KH came out and said so, it doesn't make sense. An upgrade from our current goaltending situation would cost millions more than we can afford. You cannot get a 2-time Cup winning goalie for Osgood's price. So why would Kenny change that?

The Leopold trade takes just under $400k from the Flames $1.1m space. I believe Jokinen will cost them about $1.3 give or take. Am I correct? They need to lose half a mil.

From the CBA: All Player Salary and Bonuses paid to Players on an NHL Active Roster, Injured Reserve or Non Roster that are Unfit to Play – being either injured or suffering from an illness – shall be counted against a Club's Upper Limit, Actual Club Salary and Averaged Club Salary, as well as against the Players' Share.

We have about $300k. We can afford to add contracts of about $1.2m due to pro-rating. LTIR doesn't affect capspace.

Hey.... I never said never. Just not this year. They need to mature, not to mention get more defensively responsible. This ain't the Sens or the Canes, I like them and I'll gladly eat crow if they go all the way. They just frustrate me because I do like them and they're not complete enough and not serious enough. This celebration thing did kinda piss me off though, I must admit. No respect IMO.
