Hi Supafly, I didn't mean to offend, I was only making fun in reference to the anger Sharks fans displayed toward his playoff performance a few years ago. As I recall there were a lot of people cursing his NTC but 12 months ago because he was struggling a little this time last year. Doesn't mean much though, some Detroit fans were saying the same thing about Datsyuk a few years ago. Thanks for contributing to LGW. I love seeing good posters that are fans of other teams.

Datsyuk's cap hit is more than $4m more than Hank's right now. It doesn't mean he is worth $4m more. Things change after a contract is signed. Your logic is flawed and your opinion is heavily biased.

I certainly would have questioned Datsyuk getting the Smythe. Hank and Osgood were miles ahead of any other Red Wing, Datsyuk included.

I've never heard of anything like that. Are you 100% on that Mack? I was under the belief that you can sign an extension in the last year of your contract for a multi-year deal and in the case of a 1-year contract, after Jan 1. I didn't think RFA status had anything to do with it. If you're saying that Hossa, for example, can sign an extension now, because he is a UFA... I'm 99% sure that's incorrect.

How do three non-calls get called? Anyway. The officiating wasn't that bad. Pretty much on par with the reffing you see in most games these days.
