  1. Yes I did. It was one fo the three goals they did not assist on that I mentioned. Look kid, my suggestion to you is to watch more hockey and read less articles. That way you'll know more about your arguments when you enter them. Thinking Crosby and Malkin are paired and that Z and Dats didn't help Mule shows a clear lack of knowledge, which is fine, except when you're all but calling other members liars when they're right. If you want to clutch at straws to save face, that's fine. For the month of March, Franzen scored 14 goals. Hank assisted on 6, Dats assisted on 5, Sammy on 2. Maybe I misunderstood. Were you referring to the 12 goals in 56 games to begin the season? Because that's when he wasn't feeding off Zetterberg.

Penalties called according to the score?

    This isn't about Detroit, Reilly.

If you don't constantly praise the Wings, you're bashing them. Duh!

I agree, I think you missed my point. I didn't ask for perfection. I asked for refs to not sway games. There's a very big difference. Some of the 5 on 3 PP's I've seen gifted to teams are not grey area calls. Borderline calls seem to be made at specific points in a game and not made at others.
  5. If you fact-check further you'll find that the period I'm referring to begins March 9. When Holmstrom missed his first game. Anything else?
  6. Okay well, Bruce MacLeod's articles notwithstanding, here is something you can't argue with. When Homer was injured, Franzen scored 13 goals. Lidstrom assisted on 7, Hank and Datsyuk had 6 assists each, Rafalski had 2 helpers with Chelios and Kopecky assisting on another. Samuelsson assisted on zero as did everyone else you said he partnered with. Regardless of whether or not many were scored on the PP, you asked for an explanation of how he scored so many without Zetterberg. I believe that's the explanation you're after. Eva, are you proud of me? Lol. Edit: Forgot to throw this in there. Franzen scored 3 goals out of 13 without an assist from Datsyuk or Zetterberg in said period.
  7. Eva is right, dude. When Holmstrom was injured Franzen played with Hank and Datsyuk often. Babcock juggled the lines a bit but he was always with Hank, Dats or both. That was when he scored about half of his goals for the season and it was in a month or so. And BTW, the only time you'll see Malkin with Crosby is on the PP.

    beers!

Yeah I drank Strongbow when I was 16 too. It's right up there with Passion Pop as the ultimate kids drink. Believe me, when you actually try other drinks you'll realise how disgusting Strongbow is.

I don't see how anyone could not take issue with this. IMO, no officiating in any sports should impact the result of the game. If it does, they have not done their job properly. Simple.

Icesurfer, sorry I was under the impression the NHL would look after its assets (star players) who are basically doing the NHL a favour by playing in this exhibition game that brings in millions of dollars or revenue for the league. Seems absolutely crazy that NHLers have to f*** around with customs and s***. Regardless, I still don't see it as a huge problem. These guys are used to the travel. P.S. - is that a typo? It's not a 5 hour flight to Montreal from Detroit.

I'm just gonna have to disagree. I doubt your opinion makes you an old fuddy-duddy but I really can't imagine our boys could possibly get tired by travelling from Detroit to Montreal. 1) I came back from a brief trip to Japan three weeks ago, I know what a pain in the arse it is. 2) Players don't travel economy with American Airlines or something. They travel on private jets and customs is not an issue. They don't stand in line after line beating their heads against a brick wall like we do. They're very well looked after. Jet-lag etc. could not possibly be an issue when you going from Montreal to Detroit and they're in the same time-zone too.

This week he said we were the benchmark of the league, by far the best run organisation in the NHL and probably top 5 sports organisations in the world in all sports. What a jerk!

I'm not sure how many All-Star Games you've seen, but no-one will be getting tired nor wasted from the ASG. Intensity is always at a minimum.

Yeah really. I would've bet $10k that wasn't gonna be a goal. I have serious misconceptions of the NHL's ability to competently officiate games.
