Naslund was top 5 in the league during that time. For a significant portion he was the best in the league. You couldn't say that about Bertuzzi.

No, it refers to the positive correlation between the point total in the final year of his contract and the cap number in the subsequent contract extension. Hence, my 'businessman' comment. -

It just seemed that you were giving them no credit for their Cup wins. Winning a playoffs MVP is a pretty good achievement in my view, except of course when it doesn't fit your argument. Anyway, that was all I had to say on it. Continue with the stats...

You do know Cam Ward won the Conn Smythe, right? And you do know Bill Ranford was the Oilers starting goalie in '90 and ahem, won the Conn Smythe, right? You know that yeah? Coz, it doesn't seem like you do.

The disparity b/w conferences in the NHL is greater than in the NBA now. IMO. The East is pathetic. At least the East in the NBA had two teams that could win it all (and one did). Granted, after that - LeBron and a whole lotta nothing.

Well, getting first-line time in TO next season won't any achievement but I totally forgot about him. He's gonna be good straight off the bat, for sure. But I don't think he'll match the numbers of someone like Turris or Stamkos but he'll be a great PKer.
