is there a guy that loves to play playoff hockey more than Gary Roberts, especially against the Sens? The guy was awesome in Game 1. I'm trying to think of others - Claude Lemieux maybe - who get jacked for playoffs and step it up a level.

TSN had the Wings game listed at 7. That's the worst part. Luckily I went to their site and it was listed as being on alternate, so I didn't miss more than a few minutes.

Whether they're good or not, they might just sneak out of the East as the competition isn't all that strong this year. The real battle is in the West.

Hell of a concussion - just glad that he can resume his career.

Poor old Eddie. Went to Sweden, started off well, but now he's tanked when he's needed most. Always liked him, but he's done and has been for some time. Too bad for his team in Sweden.

Here's a good article by Paul that talks about the mind of Scotty Bowman. The guy is brilliant, and extremely well connected. I'm so glad Toronto was too stupid to take him as their GM, as was rumored. He's still a heck of an asset to this organization.

There is more than enough fire-power in Detroit, and Lidstrom will lead the defence. As long as our goaltending shows up, and I have every reason to think they will, we'll do fine - sleeping giants is a pretty good way to describe it.

Hasek: Losing his edge or just disinterested 'til playoffs?

Dom is a money goalie. The Playoffs are a totally different bird for him - he usually comes to play in the post-season and comes to play hard. I expect he'll steal a few this playoffs on his own. -
The Caps run for the playoffs is nothing short of amazing - 9-1-0 when it counts is pretty impressive. And it's leading to a pretty full bandwagon of new fans, kinda like so many jumped on it last year with Crosby and the Pens against Ottawa.

I'm not so sure he'll get injured and miss action. I heard one report on TV that he's been run more in the past month than ever in his career. He's holding up somewhat so far, so he might just surprise in the playoffs.

Rocky has done more for Hawks fans in the past 6 months than old man Bill did in decades. Good for Hawks fans, they more than deserve it.

Came across this article that gives props to Canes' prospect Chris Terry for helping an ailing teen in Plymouth. Seems Chris went out of his way to go visit this kid when he no longer could go to games - a kid who should never have to go through an illness like this - good for Chris to step up and be a great community guy.

Money talks and I think Stuart will go to the highest bidder. He's a good quality guy, so I would not be surprised if there is gih bidding for his services.

San Jose has come a LONG way since the Campbell trade. I'd take them as favorites over Anaheim at this point. They really look like a team playing loose and full of confidence.

This article at Hockey.com brought back some great memories for me: New NHL arenas lack the memories, ghosts

With Crosby out, this writer thinks the Pens will be sellers - here's why: Crosby injury forces trade speculation I still think the Pens have playoff hope, even though they likely will slide a fair bit.

Any interview I've head with him sounds like he's adjusting well to the boardroom. Good for him!

The problem is Sundin would cost far too much. I imagine a couple high picks and a mid-range prospect.
-
I suspect he won't fade much in the next couple of years - I'd sign him back on at the current rate for 2-3.

Drake definitely needs to earn his spot back. I suspet he will, but it shouldn't be automatic.
