Milbury once went into the stands during a game and beat a guy with a shoe. What do you expect from that f***?Like I said last night, they say worse things about Milbury on Long Island.
hahahaha to those who also wanna see this:

I don't think Eurotrash and white trash are equivalent. Do you know what the latter means? From my understanding Eurotrash is kind of the opposite of Whitetrash, being wealthy Euro-Americans opposed to poor Caucasian Americans. Nonetheless, it is definitely a derogatory term and shouldn't be used by national media.
-
He was using the term in reference to how they were playing at that point. He was not referring to how they play in general.I know how he meant it. But suppose Canada played horrible hockey tonight, is it ok for a European commentator to say they played White trash hockey??
-
Definitely agree the Russians played horrible tonight but to use the term "Eurotrash" to describe their play.. that's crossing some lines I'd like to think.

Moments after Canadian hockey team defeated the Russians 7 to 3 in the Olympic quarter finals, NBC announcer Mike Milbury described the Russian team's effort as a "Eurotrash game.""I'm was really disappointed that these guys came with their, their Eurotrash game," Milbury said, referring to the Russians. "It was just no heart, no guts, no nothing there to back it up."
"Did you really say Eurotrash? Did that come out of your mouth?" NBC hockey host Bill Patrick asked, as former NHL star Jeremy Roenick sat stunned between the two men with his mouth open.
"I heard it, I heard it," Roenick replied, attempting to bail out the situation by agreeing with Milbury's overall analysis that the Russian team lacked effort in the one-sided loss.
The comment came after a feisty ending to a physical hockey game between the heavily favored Canadian team and the Russians.
How's this for some good ol' NBC late night drama haha. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
And JR's reaction!!! :D

In full support of this thread. The stats are there.
2008: 184 GA
2009: 244 GA
This year the Wings are getting some of the best goaltending they've had in years and they're still on pace for 220+ GA
Babs will stay, people are crazy to think otherwise. But McCrimmon 100% don't let the door hit you on the way out buddy.

great plays by the zetterberg line so far

C - Zetterberg
A- Datsyuk, Franzen + Filpula in rotation
On a side note though, if Z does become the captain will he be the first player drafted in the 7th round to earn captaincy??

Great thread.
If Detroit would have won, Hossa would have probably went to a team where he would have the potential of being a captain. In my personal opinion, if I had the skillset Hossa did, after winning a cup my next goal would be to lead a club to winning the greatest trophy in pro sports. With that being said, LA would have been the team for sure.

LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!

Yeah the touching looked pretty awkward but everyone knows Cabbie and the kinda stuff he does. His interviews with Osgood are always classic.
-
Another great interview by Cabbie. Enjoy.

If Detroit beat a Pittsburgh team without Malkin, media and Pens fans would blame it on that. If Pittsburgh beat a Detroit team without Datsyuk, Pittsburgh is the best team in the world. Point and case, the media runs everything and Buttman holds Sids jock strap.
-
I love Panger.. and NBC has better picture, sound, and presentation. Plus, I can pick up the HD signal. I hate the greedy bastards that run NBC but I gotta admit.. they do a damn good job.
-
I MIGHT be going to the game but for those of you who are, give Pav nice a chant when he gets on the ice. Everyone is glad hes back in the lineup (i hope), get him off to a great start with some "Pavel, Pavel, Pavel," etc. chants. Who's down to start it up??!

DET/PIT: 4-1 -
I believe it's on the player level concourse where only media and press are allowed. I could be completely wrong though.
-
DET/CHI 4-1
PIT/CAR 4-3
-
Not sure but it was a lot better than the song/video they showed before the WSH/PIT game

Post edited with official times and networks; Thanks RW4L

According to TSN, Game 1 is at 2:30, Game 2 is at 7:30
My assumption: Game 1 will probably be covered by NBC (yay HD )

Very proud to be Canadian tonight! 14 Gold medals is impressive and obviously winning mens hockey was a relief! USA did a lot better than I think anyone expected and had me sweating bullets for the whole 3rd period and OT. s***ty that Crosby scored but glad to have it regardless.
Congratulations to USA representing their country so greatly. Top of the medal count is definitely something to be proud of! Canada will hopefully be their one day. Best Olympics I can remember in a long time though.
The 2 week break from the NHL has been great but definitely excited to get back into it now Bring on the Avs!!!
