While I can agree that goaltending, so far, has been off... I'm not going to call this 80's era hockey. I would, possibly, point to all the new goalies, and other players really, in the playoffs. I would bet it levels out in the second round.

Assuming, like you have, that I know the outcome, I would watch the BETTER GAME, irregardless of goal total, and I am guessing most would agree with me there.

The number of goals scored in no way, shape, or form has any impact on how good of a game it was. There are great 1-0 games, and there are s***ty ones. There are great 7-6 games, and there are s***ty ones. If you want to pretend the numbers on the scoreboard determine the value of the game, watch arena football.

Their tradition shouldn't be "we took the tradition of the team we were playing, twisted it to fit our geographic area, and acted like it made us cool". Develop your own tradition, don't steal it.
