There is a fine line between taking losing hard and being a retard. You crossed it.

Yep.

Or they could be tacked on to a 2-1 game and we get another 9-1 blowout.

I can get behind this. Something needs to change, and I'd prefer Ozzie come playoffs (if...) so yeah.

How My Love 4 Hockey Affected My Feelings Towards B-Ball

Sorry if I got confused over who's arguing what. I was saying NBA players, on average, have attended more college than NHL players. And stereotypes don't always come from somewhere. Sometimes it's just propaganda. Poles aren't actually dumber than other people. -

Oh please. Stereotype for $200, Alex. -

It's still more college than Crosby or Kane or Toews have had, right? Dismissing one year when high end NHL players have *no* college is sorta dumb. -

But the program won't jeopardize itself to take a dumbass on. (There is a point reverse diminishing returns, I grant) Can you prove your "majority don't give a s***"? I've been asking all thread for numerical evidence and no one has it. Any one have numbers on who's athletes have attended more college time? -

You picked the worst two schools for your example. Hell, their kids tend to stay for at least 3 years. I can't remember the last Dukie to declare early. And a majority don't get a degree? So they are just like all North Americans? Got it. Most people don't get a college degree. -

I doubt it, as the NBA now demands their players play at least 1 year in the NCAA. There are a few how haven't, like Kobe and Garnett and a handful of others who didn't and sucked (looking at you, Kwame), but that's the vast minority. Whereas it seems to me, most NHLers never go to college. Again, I'm not taking Europe into account here. -

You are being blatantly ignorant now. NBA rules DEMAND you attend college for at least one season (or just sit out, which no one has done). There are less than 10 players in the league who never went to college. (I'm talking North American players, though). Most play at least 3 years. Your "Most NBA players go to college for one year" is a lie, and you can't support your "w/o even going to their classes or even getting an education" at all. You are making things up. And we were discussing education, not articulateness. Those two aren't the same. -

Proof? And going to college for a year is going to college. What percentage of NHL players attend a single day of college classes? -

Really? Most NBA players go to college (and all have to now). Can the NHL say that? Please provide your demographics. -
Actually, you are quite correct.

Intentional fouling is more of a time drag than TOs. -
Not so sure about this. We're a guaranteed sell out, even for struggling teams. We sell tons of merchandise. The league may prefer to portray as a villian, but they prefer us to be relevant.

Wow, you even condescend poorly. I never said I know what Redmond is thinking. I said based upon what he said and what his actions were, it is much more likely he *was* talking about Lilja. I never said anything about Johnson, which is why I deleted your comment about him when i replied. And while Holland would definitely know more about personnel than Redmond, I also don't exactly trust what he says until something actually happens, as he gains an edge over other GMs by having them believe misinformation. I have no idea what that angle would be here, but I don't pretend to know Holland's ways. I only bask in the results. If I had to guess, I'd guess Mickey talked to Lilja, or some other player, and took decent news and great news.
-
Way to make it sound like the people who disagree with you are complete idiots, but you have clearly not looked at the data at hand. Beyond a reasonable doubt he was referring to Lilja. The only argument I have heard that Mickey misspoke was "he was drunk".
-
Inconsistent officiating. It's getting beyond ridiculous. The TV deal. WTF? Having Crosby shoved down my throat. Yeah, I know he's a great player. I might actually like the face of the league if you didn't force me to deep throat all the time.
-
No, he didn't. He had already discussed Kronwall *THEN* said what was amazing was *circles Lilja's picture* that Lilja is coming back and hasn't had headaches recently. So unless your argument focuses on Kronwall having headaches that keep him out of play *and* Mickey wanting to discuss Kronwall twice *and* him circling the wrong picture, you are wrong.

Well, obviously, you're just cooler than everyone else.

I think that's too much. Jackson is a second line d-man, Lebda is a third. Leino and a 4th or 5th should make up for the difference.

This thread is either LOL or on the short bus licking windows. -
This used to be my complaint, but I've seen marked improvement in this over the last month. He's not leaving rebounds in the slot anymore.

Easy. We get two points. LA gets none. No soup for them!
