OK, let's discuss how the SCF started last year, with back to back games. That favors the rested, healthy team, right? But the NHL did it for the TV money. What else would they do for the money? Also, Malkin's non-suspension. This isn't even the in-game officiating. This is league "policy". And it is fair to assume league policy trickles down to the refs. Right?

It makes sense to me that the wingers should/would improve with a better center, so OK. I assumed GMR was referring to the entire team "waking up". I guess I assumed wrong.

Not to hijack this, but this thread will get Scandinavian attention so... Finland usually has a good team. Sweden usually has a good team. Where the hell is Norway? How do I never hear about them? Do they even play hockey? Also, USA!

Can you provide evidence that people that that Flip's return was supposed to "wake the dead" as opposed to "show that the injured will return and things should get better"? He played fine. Had lots of rust, and lots of drive.

Yes, you an sum most of your posts like that, but I was talking to other people. As embarrassed as you are we didn't goon it up, I am five times more embarrassed about being shut out twice in a row to the Hawks. Instead of a fight in the closing minute, I would have much preferred a goal. -
