Removing the 2 (by each team) fighting majors, the Ducks took another 22 minutes in penalties after the game, and they missed giving Niedermeyer something for that elbow. Classy, Ducks. And classy NHL. "Penalize" in such a way as to not penalize them, but instead allow them to feel their style of play is accepted and condoned in the league.

I agree with a lot fo this, but I see Lids taking a hometown discount. I don;t know how much, and I wouldn't judge if he didn't, but see him somewhere between 3 and 5.5 mil after this contract.

Wouldn't be surprised if he played again this post season, if Raffi doesn't make it back. That said, it's his last year as a Wing, but he'll play again. I agree that LA looks good. Maybe Chicago has a spot for him.
