I like that third line, and Sammy on the fourth line, while not maximizing his potential, will create problems for Anaheim. Plus, he can swap him up to the third easily. And he'll be rested for power plays.

Until the league stops marketing Crosby as THE SAVIOR and embraces the other talented players in the league... until the Pens don't get preference in marketing over other teams... until he handles himself with a level of professionalism (that in all fairness is a standard set higher than other captains for the first two reasons)... he's gonna be hated on every hockey board except for Pens boards. Get over. The league bricked this. However, Crosby has done little to ebb the flow.

Well, I can't disagree here. The pressure isn't from him. It's from the Pens org and the league, and frankly, it's unfair and i believe slowing his development. If he didn't have to worry about this BS, I can't imagine what numbers he'd be putting up. I think Malkin is a good example of this.

I agree to an extent. I would never said he goes to them with a "you so stupid" minset. I would say, however, he is prone to a sense of entitlement like no player has in this league. *Because* he's so young, he takes this abuse. And while I've seen him tamper off with it, he is still prone to almost tantrums on the ice. My god, his rookie year, I wanted to slap the taste outta his mouth.

Huh? Are you really comparing the discourse Lidstrom has with the officials with the discourse Crosby has with the officials? 'Cause there's really no comparison besides both use words to communicate with the refs. The tone, demeanor, body language, intensity, and frequency are COMPLETE opposites.
