Ya know, I have wanted to point this out for awhile but... ... the zamboni driver has sorta been dogging it out there between periods. I blame him. And Obama. He's involved too. Seriously though, of the people I would point fingers to, Babs is damn near the end of the line. If you want to point at McCrimmon, I can understand that. But the Red Wings gameplan is an excellent one, especially with the talent we have. It's just not being executed right now. Babas gave them 25+ games to adjust to Hossa, shake off the Cup hangover, and get back to playing Red Wings Hockey. It didn't happen so he's stirring up the lines. I view that as good coaching. Not freaking out immediately when things didn't go right. Not over-reacting now. Just subtle twists to mix things up and let the players know they are not performing to standard.

I think the Wings need some more forwards who contribute secondary scoring, back checking, and the ability to skate and pass. Those guys tend to lead to more victories. Screw your hard-on for watching men fight.

The last two seasons? Scored 72 goals and not missed a game. Had a 100 point season. Score 26 points in 20 playoff games. Yeah, he kinda sucks...

I would seek no trade. I would listen to all offers. I doubt somebody could offer me the talent comprable, as well as reimbersuing me for trading a home grown talent, but hey, talk away.

I don't think it is an anti-Red Wings thing, but I think it is league mandated. Remember back in the day when there were damn near no penalties in the 3rd? Then, ater the lockout, they called penalties in the 3rd. Now, I think, they call "penalties" that may not really exist on the winning team so the games are closer and there's more offense.

Waayyyyy to early to tell. Remember when Mattias had two goals in 4 games with Florida and there were people questioning Holland, saying he blew it and Mattias was the next great power forward? He's in the minors now. Back to Quincey. Good for him. It was a roll of the dice on who we let go, but it's just proof of an embarrassment of riches we have. If the kid turns into a perenial All-Star, or wins a single Norris, we were dumb. If he turns in to a career second line d-man, we broke even (most likely).
