    Swedes: A more loyal breed?

Didn't they say that was a reason the Wings wouldn't win a Cup back in 97? That Euros had no heart for the Cup run etc etc etc? Haven't we moved past that?

    The reason behind the slump!

That post killed brain cells that I will never get back. Thanks.

    Hossa

Huh? He didn't negotiate the trade, he didn't bet the farm. All he did was say he wasn';t going to resign in ATL. The Pens knew this and still rolled the dice. We all know they can't afford Crosby, Malkin, Hossa, and enough of everything else to be competitive long term. This is a one shot deal. He has no moral or ethical obligation to do anything but play 100% for Pittsburgh for the remainder of his contract.

    ESPN hits new low

I was about to say that ESPNews has hockey on all day. They won't cover it much elsewhere as they don't broadcast it, but they still cover the sport. If you really wanna ***** about ESPN and hockey... ***** about Damien Cox, that retard...

    Your assessment of Today

What? You are quitting a fan site because of the GM? Dude, we don't need "fans" like that here. Get a life, get over yourself, and get a Ducks jersey.

Now, let's move on to the bright side.

If we can stay healthy, it's all good, Holland is a genius for not making any moves that messed up the roster. If not... well... this place may turn ugly.

    Brian Burke

I guess I missed the part where he was compared to a saint. I thought we were all in agreement he was a GM in the NHL. Most of us think he's a whiny POS. It's not to say he's not good at his job, just a whiny POS.

Kevin Allen discussion on Wings deadline moves

Are you on drugs? Put down the crack pipe, throw a few more periods in your posts, and realize Feds is old, hasn't played at a high level in a few years, and not a good fit for the team right now.

Zetterberg and Datsyuk on different lines?

I've noticed they are split up more on the road. I guess that's because we get the first change and we don't want them to get targetted all the time by the number 1 d line.

The homer call could possibly be a good thing

Let's not compare video games to reality.

The homer call could possibly be a good thing

I think the call was BS but just to play Devil's Advocate... ... the goal was waved off immediately and after the replay, even I saw nothing to conclusively over rule the call. That top-down view just didn't show me how much contact Homer's ass made with JS.

The Official bring back Fedorov topic!

Really? That is a bold statement, and disrespectful to PLENTY of other Wings... let's list some people who were very important to the Wings 3 recent Cups... Bowman. Vernon, Osgood, and Hasek. Lidstrom. Shanny. Then you can list the plethora of others who played a role... Hull, Vlad, Murphy, Luc, etc etc etc. I'm not hating on Feds. I still have my #91 poster (along with a Cecil Fielder and Barry Sanders...). But we are talking about his number getting retired here. Won't happen as long as Illitch owns the team. But, ah, the memories... 4 straight playoff seasons with 20 or more points... the MVP... Anna...

Greatest goal scorer of alltime: Pavel Bure

How can this thread still be going? The answer is Mike Bossy. Look at his numbers. Retarded sick.

Who would you take, solid 2nd liner, or Dman.

I'd have to go with a 2nd line winger. As much as we could use a D-man, I don't really like any of the options out there- either too old, too expensive, playing for a playoff team, or a combinaiton of the three. A solid second line winger who could score and play some defense would allow us to seperate Z and Dats on the road and have 2 great lines (depending on the caliber of the player, of course) so the other team couldn't focus on just one. I can only think of one team with the defensive depth to hang with that possibility. Sadly, it's Anahiem. The cap is going up $3mil. Kenny, bring me Hossa!

    Lilja

Huh? Do you actually think you know more than the coaches and scouts? There's a reason Meech is the 7th d-man and Lilja actually plays without an injured d-man...

    Lilja

No one said "player", what was said was "play". There is a difference.

    Back to backs

I was looking at the Fevruary schedule/wallpaper and noticed the Wings have 4 back to backs this month. And, each one of them requires them to travel to the next game. Does anyone know if other teams can getting this shaft or not? It seems to be piss poor scheduling. Any ideas?

    Back to backs

Not sure one thread is "continously" doing anything, and not sure I was ranting, as I asked if other teams have the same type of schedule. It is piss poor scheduling, though. Or was that a rant?
