He makes a couple of turnovers that we as Wings fans are not used to seeing a first line D-man make. We are spoiled by Nicky. Look as some other D-men who are earning comparable paychecks. No thanks, I'll take Rafs any day. Where's Duckguy? How's Schneids playing this year? Any complaints?

We add Hossa and we just picked up the best player on our roster. I love Dats and Z, but Hossa (on a purely offensive stand point, mind you) is better. He's an amazing sniper, something this team lacks. We can probably afford to sign him, too, as long as he doesn't want to be the highest paid player in the league, which he doesn't deserve. Kenny could probably lock him up for 7.5 per over 5 years, the same deal that would get Z to sign at the bottom, next to the X. To get someone like that, we'd need to give up a second line player (Hate to say it, but Huds is probably the guy), a prospect (anyone but Kindl would work for me), and a 1st rounder, if not another or a 2nd. I can live with this. If we move Huds... we just replaced him. I can part with a D-man prospect, we seem deep in this area, and Chelios can just play for another decade if we ask nice . Draft picks... love to have them, but we have maintained the franchise without them for quite awhile. I say Make It Happen, Kenny.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the World Cup didn't change to penalty kicks deciding the winner, it has always been that way. I can't say about the Olympics...

Can I get some evidence of this? I don't recall "many" games lasting 7 hours over the last 5 years, and I seem to remember most OT games end in the first 5 to 7 minutes on an "average" goal. Playoff shootouts are retarded, plain and simple. And I wanna play in the Norris Division of the Campbell Conference while we are at it. I hate this Geographical Division in the Direction Conference BS.

As I mentioned, the 4th line was not our actual 4th line due to the injury bug. Since 2/3 of it were fill-ins, I was ok with it. I don't think I can expect what is basically a fifth line to above league average for a fourth.

Dude, relax. Calm down, find some inner peace. I was not "bashing" Sammy. I simply do not like him on the point, and do not think he is a quality 2nd liner on the best team in the NHL. You say that he is better than half the second liners out there... I say we are not half of the league. I do not feel the need to talk about "answers" to this- that is Kenny's job and I see no reason to second guess him. If he feels as I do, he'll fix it. He is the one with the final say, so you get bent out of shape all day long, and I can say he shouldn't be on the point.... it don't matter.
