People are concerned and rightfully so. We didn't just lose. We got absolutely destroyed in every aspect of the game. Not only that, but the biggest question mark we all had coming into this season, how our defense would perform minus Lids, was clearly and terrifingly answered. If we had lost 4-2 and put up a fight the alert level would still be up because it is LGW after all. But it wouldn't be anywhere near were it is at now. It is very hard to just excuse this as being "one game".

Did we at least get credit for that shot at the end of the period? I'll take ANY type of glimmer of hope at this point. Our defense is complete & utter s***. You could watch the blues cross ice plays developing like a slow motion train wreck. Time for Hank to step up to the plate as the new Captain.

We are not the Blues, Devils, or Rangers that retire players that played with them just because they were great. We are the Detroit Red Wings. Man, I did love to watch Sergie. Like someone else said, he had to be your favorite player at some point if you were a Wings fan. Guy was a friggin thoroughbred that brought you out of your seat when he stepped onto the ice. Pavs reminds me of him in that respect.

I honestly think there is zero chance we get Yandle, Ryan, or Nash via trade. When was the last time a star player was even moved in the same conference? Kenny has zero leverage right now when it comes to trying to acquiring a star player. As much as I would love to have Yandle, he is a pipe dream at this point.
