I agree with OsGOD that phrases like perfectly sexy things and yanks are kinda British, but you would be even more fantastic and awesome if number 5 was reversed and even expanded to include phrases like "old bean" and "blimey." Why are we talking about octopus slime as an issue at all? Do they think that gallons of slime and water are just coating the octopus and oozing all over the ice? I'd like to see some evidence that "octopus slime" has ever had an impact on a game in the 56 years octopi have been thrown onto the ice. An octopus would mostly be slimy to the touch, I guess, but even if some matter flies off the octopus when Al twirls it, it's a very insignificant amount; if anything, more matter gets on the ice from the initial hit. I have clashed with the realm of non-hockey fans. On Sunday when I told my roomie and her friends I couldn't go out because the game was on, one guy asked me to text him if anything happened so I thought he was a fellow fan. Minutes later, Lidstrom scored his amazing goal and I texted him "lids got a shortie from center ice!!!" Now that made perfect sense to me and everyone in livechat, but today the guy confessed to me that it took him over a half hour and asking 3 other non-hockey guys to figure out what it meant!! The "center ice" bit clued them in that it was hockey, and after a while they figured out that lids = Lidstrom, but they were stumped by shortie - somehow they were thinking that lids got a 'hot girl' shortie from center ice lmao! I knew Lids was P.I.M.P. but I had no idea he was that good!
