11/18 GDT: Red Wings 5, Columbus Blue Jackets 4 (SO)

That period was sort of a wash. Lebda's goal was pretty sweet, but all the penalties were a drag. I think we can all agree that the 3rd goal was not Ozzie's fault. So here's hoping for one helluva 4rd period. Oh, and a Zata goal would be nice too -

Hey I missed last night's game and the whole first period, how are the boys playing? -
What kind of food would you be cooking? I'd go for the cooking, although maybe that's because I can't dance But either way sounds like it will be fun

I agree that Dom's play against St. Louis is cause for concern, but not quite cause for panic. It was one sub-par game, so Babs should continue to play him unless a pattern of poor play emerges. Ozzie may have the better numbers (and I am personnally inclined to favor Oz), but the Wings have won Lord Stanley with both goalies. So I'll give Hasek a do-over and reserve judgement. But more importantly, since Ozzie is sick ( ) and Dom usually doesn't play back-to-back games, if Ozzie isn't feeling better by Sunday, who plays: Hasek or Howard?

i want ice cream. i don't care if it's 0 degrees outside, it's still good anytime of the day/week/year

Great song "Everybody just follow Steve" I thought we were done with all of the lazy hooking when Lang left town whether it's laziness or refing or both, it is becoming a major problem the boys need to address. Better positioning, less parties with Kid Rock.

I was simply trying to point out that NASCAR is in a better position to reach casual viewers. I know the NHL as a whole may be at fault for that, but can't I blame Gary anyway? Please?
-
For Ozzie and/or Homer to have a serious chance, then they need a campaign like Rory had. Try to reach the facebook/myspace crowd...if there can be 'one million strong for Hilary/Obama/Colbert' groups, surely there would be ten million strong for Osgood get er done Kenny!

How bout the dark horse candidate...Hudler he's kinda small, like St. Louis, and he's supposed to get 30 goals this season, why stop there? What's to stop Hudler from becoming the scoring leader?
-
And don't forget NASCAR is in with ESPN...way to drop the ball there Gary, but it's ok, we got that sweet consolation prize, Versus

Was this a barefoot 4 mile walk across fire-heated rocks? And BTW amberlynn, I received a sheet of some quality bubblewrap today, and I completely agree

The brief update: Wings' plane stuck in St. Louis mud Apparently, they practiced in St. Louis on Wednesday, instead of getting the day off Ouch, Babs, that's the real suffering in the whole ordeal

Well between the vivid desciptions of and I feel as if I was at the scene of the Red Wings Runway Incident of 2007, and it reminds me of that time when my car shifter was stuck for like 20 seconds. I had to coast through the parking lot at a speed approximately equal to a motorized scooter as I struggled to put it back in Drive....Yes, I know their pain, and it is great

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it's a nice Detroit News article on Drapes. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...0352/1128/rss16 Red Bull gives you Wings, eh?
