I'm pumped...the lady scored me tix and the Wild are 1 of 3 teams I haven't seen in person yet! I hope Boogaard plays and throws down with Downey. That would be an interesting tangle!

While going from game to game on Center Ice Online tonight, I noticed that good ol' Dave Strader, former Red Wings and ESPN play by play guy, is doing games from the Coyotes on FSN Arizona alongside former ESPN analyst Darren Pang. Thought that was an interesting tidbit. I always wondered what happened to the ESPN guys.........

Good ol' PASS. I like both Strader and Daniels for different reasons, but remember the clown who did play by play between the two for one season, Mike Goldberg? He was horrible!

I'll be up in the top row in front of good ol' Bud Lynch. Lightning's D got torn apart by the Blackhawks last night and they're slumping. They'll try hard to rebound tonight, but the Wings pull off a 5-3 victory to break a long streak of games I've attended in which the Wings scored 3 or less goals (8)

I have McCarty and Shanny Wings jerseys. I plan on getting a Zetterberg this month and I also have a Michigan hockey jersey. Oh yeah, I also have that stupid black Wings jersey that someone bought me years ago.

If we're gonna go with the theme of NW/SE, let's go Wild/Thrashers and make sure the jersey colors are a ridiculous mix as well.

I have made goal/fight tapes from all wings regular season and playoff games from 1996 to present but not a lot of goalie highlights. I should start doing that from here on out!

Man, do we really need to win this game.... Prediction: Game goes to a shootout. In a stunning move with the shootout tied in the 3rd round, Babcock sends in Lilja, who loses his balance and falls on his face, sliding into Leclaire and the net and pushing the puck in with him. Wings win. -
Similar feel-good story............. This reminds me of 2003-04 when the Preds beat the Wings the first 3 meetings in the first half of the season. Many were worried that the Preds would have the Wings number the rest of the way. The Wings won the remaining 3 meetings against the Preds in the regular season and knocked them out of the playoffs. Let's hope for a similar scenario this season with the Blackhawks, who have only made the playoffs once since the Preds became a franchise.

I think that any player/team in the Southeast Divison, save for Ovechkin, doesn't get much hype or attention at all. Cory Stillman is definitely a crucial part of the Canes, who currently have the top goal scoring production in the NHL, but is more of an outstanding role player than an elite player.

I vote Lilja on this one. I'm still having bad dreams about him giving the puck away in OT agains the Ducks in Game 5 last year.

I wouldn't give up Zetterberg for anything, but Datsyuk and a mid roster player like Drapes or Maltby or Datsyuk and a 1st rounder would be ok with me to score Vinny. It would hurt to lose some familiar players, but you gotta give to get!

I'd rather have Lecavalier than St. Louis. Although definitely not an enforcer, he's more physical than St. Louis and as good, if not better, of scorer.
