Too bad Vancouver won. Now I have to listen to the "Only Canadian team left in the playffs" bandwagoners for at least another round.
-
Man that Game 7 goal still gives me chills. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!!!
-
Same here. Jimmy has been rock solid, and I have no doubts he will continue to be tomorrow night.

Go Wings!! You can DOOOOO this!!!! Why in the hell is Franzen playing again on his injured ankle? He looked horrid last game. Put Modano in there!! Was'nt he brought in for the playoffs?? Has'nt seen ice yet this postseason(i think anyways). LET THE MAN PLAY!!
-
Hmmm. Guess what I had heard about his performances in the other 3 games was bull. Hopefully he turns out well for the Wings in the future, especially with how shaky things are in goal at this point.
-
Saw him play a game here(Sudbury) during the first round of the OHL playoffs in which the Wolves swept him and the 67's. Can't say he looked all that great that game, and heard he was nothing spectacular all series. Did'nt know he was a highly touted prospect in the Wings system. lol Guy musta been off his game a tad eh?

Dipietro dons Osgood's old mask to protect shattered face

Just love the look of that mask. -
Bryan Murray to make a "hockey announcement" at 11am

Don't think hes overpaid IMO. I'd rather have him over Howard(currently anyways). Only $600,000 difference in their contracts. Andersons term is a bit much though i'll agree. -
Modano feeling good, aiming for late-February return
Osgood=WIN! replied to DatsyukianDekes's topic in General
Glad to see hes on his way back. Bout time. Also good that hes kept his conditioning up, and did'nt just sit around for a few months. -
Well put.

Retired after the cup win in '02, was retired all through '03(the reason we signed Cujo), and came back in '04, causing a big ruckus, but only played like 14 games, then was out for the season with an injury. Signed with the Sens in '05.

Sucks we did'nt get Nabby. That waiver rule really needs to be changed. Oh well, we had him signed, and now, majically, hes an Islander. Knew he would get clamed..but NYI?? f***kkk. I don't blame Nabby for not reporting. So where to go from here? Is Kenny still looking to pick up a goalie, or did he just try to pull this off because it was a cheap deal? Next week or so could be interesting.

Oz was offered $4 million a season and did'nt take it??? Man, the Isles organization must really be s*** to play for. hahahaa
-
Epic fail. Turned the game off when it was 3-0 Canada. Went out, came home, find out we lost 5-3. WTF? This is pretty funny, for real.

Rafters..very debatable Hall..no question.
-
Hell yeah!!
-
Yep,your right. He was'nt voted the starter, Luongo was. Osgood was named starter by the league after Luongo could'nt play, which shows more I think... And yeah, "fan" balloting is a joke.

Dont post here much, but I had to this time. Congrats on #400 Oz, and hope to see many more wins to come!! F the haters. Osgood may not get his number in the rafters, but he will DEFINITELY make the hall. I don't see how anyone can doubt that. lol If Fuhr is in, Osgood will be. Osgood: 400 career wins and counting 3 Stanley Cups(Starter for two) 2 Jennings (One could argue Oz was robbed of the '96 Vezina) Fuhr: 403 career wins 5 Stanley cups(Starter for four) 1 Vezina 1 Jennings Last season was the only season Osgood finished with a losing record. Fuhr had at least 5. I see no reason why he won't get in, even if it takes a bit.

Idiotic indeed. Yes Chelly is a veteran presence on the back end, but so are Lidstrom and Rafalski. There is no need for him. If he can't contribute, let him go.
-
Well put. I'm tired of all the Osgood skeptics. His stats speak for themselves.
-
I would'nt mind having Bert back if he came VERY cheap. He might not be what he once was, but he is capable of 20 goal seasons, and still shows flashes of that mean streak. I don't think it could hurt, but that's my opinion. It's doubtful it would ever happen anyways.

Good depth signing, as is Chelios. I really hope Stuart gets signed though. I loved the Kronwall/Stuart pairing in the playoffs. If long and short term offers were made to Stuart, what's holding him back right now? Money? Location? Wants to test the market? SIGN STUART!!!
