Hockey Falls

Dan Cloutier is god awful. When his head is knocked out of the game, it stays out. He sucks, plain and simple. But you Red Wings fans, of all people, should know that, courtesy of a half rink shot.

Those qualities sound like the kind of player that any team would like. Not just Detroit.

Well, I learned my lesson: Never root for the Wings. They win, except when Hawks fans want them to.

League to Wings: Only one team can be "Just Better" than everybody else. So prove it.

I think it's just fine to have a team anywhere as long as the travel logistics make sense and, more importantly, the market is vibrant and able to support a hockey team. It looks like Anaheim, so far, has been able to do that. Florida and Nashville, on the other hand, have not.

Do Detroit fans like Nash? That's weird. I don't think many Blackhawks fans like him. He yaps and talks big, but he scampers away at the first sign of trouble. He did this in a game earlier in the year back when we still had Vandemeer.

He fought Douglas Murray of San Jose. The guy is about 4 inches taller than Wiz. Wiz is awesome. The league is certainly pretty inconsistent with suspensions and fines and things like that. I think some rule changes/upheavals are necessary in this league. Scoring is down (or so they say), and now we have to minimize goaltender equipment or make the nets bigger. Maybe Bettman's the problem, not the goalies. Which really doesn't have a whole lot to do with the suspensions debate going on here, but it is mildly relevant.
