We are very lucky we aren't facing a 3-0 deficit right now . A goal post and a perry gaffe and it is 3-0. How many of those close calls have the wings had? ZERO. In fact, nothing even REMOTELY close to that.

I don't get how Redmond is saying Hiller is starting to be the story of this series. It isn't like wave after wave of high powered red wing offense is coming at him. In fact, there hasn't been one crazy acrobatic save in 2 games yet. Unbelievable. This means the wings are not getting clean opportunities whatsoever. This is a testament to our s***ty play, and the ducks' great defense. They are really taking any time and space away from Detroit, all over the ice. If that keeps up, we're not going to score another goal in this series. We really haven 't even been close to scoring yet tonight, it's pathetic.

The fact that we don't have a fairly continuous pressure in their zone (as typical wings teams do), tells me we are not the better team. This is a must win game and we are not sustaining anything in their zone.

No 5 minute boarding major and game misconduct? Must be because the player got up... The NHL sucks.

It's those nonsense kind of goals, that leave you scratching your head, that kill you in a playoff series. It's how lesser teams beat the powerful wings in past years...when we should have had way more than 4 cups in recent memory.

We are just not the better team. Hate to say it. I hope we pull it out, but what we used to rely on, skill, other teams have more of.

Anyone watching the end of the ottawa/montreal game? Did you see the mon player slap shot the puck right at an ottawa player/bench? It hit an ottawa player also...but since nobody was injured, that won't be reviewed. That could have been very serious. What if he hit somebody in the head? He obviously had intent to hurt somebody there. But oh, nobody hit the ice, no calls, no nothing. That kind of thing will get someone hurt/killed.

Now, that montreal player just obviously tried to fire the puck as hard as he could at an Ottawa player. How isn't that a suspendable offense? Becuase nobody got injured? Because it didnt' catch somebody in the head? Sorry, still ranting lol. But seriously, now that should be looked at and some kind of punishment given. He obviously turned toward an ottawa player and slap shot the puck right at someone. Anyone else see that?

I don't like at all that the fact that there was an injury is one of the key points that was used to determine the punishment. That's why people get so frustrated. Who cares if the player got seriously injured or jumped right back up? That should be irrelevant. Players are getting whacked int he head all game long, it's just a matter of whether or not the player getting hit stays down or gets injured. Homer got his ass beat every game but because he was in front of the net, that was an acceptable location to take a beating. Just maddening . I guess Kronwall should be suspended infinite games with all the similar hits he's put on players, just like that.

Can we get through a playoff game where the refs don't do something that both team fans can't figure out what in the hell they were doing? In the replay of that Abby hit, neither ref called a penalty. It wasn't until the player stayed down, the play was stopped, then the refs convened and called one. I don't get that. I didn't even know that was possible. I know there are going to be questionable calls going both ways, but that is something different, something where everybody is scratching their heads wondering what in the heck is going on. Anyway, when did they put MLS on ice? The older I get, the less and less I care about the NHL. And that sucks. WIth that said, the wings should have had this game in hand after the first period with all those opportunities. But I think the shots on goal through 2 were like 14 shots or something, which sucks. So many times they just kept passing it, or were way out on the perimeter, nobody taking shots. Shots going right into the chest of Giguere I mean Hiller. Datsyuk and Zetterberg didn't do much of anything tonight either. Not sure if this should be Ducks credit or the wings just not firing the puck and being too slow with deciison making.

They were playing alright, holding in there defensively, but offensively what is with this playing way out on the perimeter? We've seen them start doing that in the playoffs for several years now. It's like how far can I get away form the goal with the puck? My God. Offensively they seemed very slow with decision making, and then nobody really wanted to shoot the puck. And when somebody finally shot the puck, it was right at Hiller and there were no rebounds. Unacceptable. Where was the hunger from game 2? I don't know what it is exactly, if I'm just getting older, or if I'm just so sick of being so frustrated with the NHL over the last few years but I'm really starting to care less and less. And that sucks becuase I love the game of hockey and I love this team. But the NHL continues to be stupid. I have been a fan for 25 years and I just don't understand what is going on sometimes. I didn't even know that if no ref called a penalty, they could still call a penalty well after the play is over, and after the refs convene to discuss it. That is something else to me. I don't ever recall seeing that. Redmond I thought was going to have an aneurysm and he was probably right to. I just don't get it, but I am starting to get less and less animated the older I get, or the more years that go by, becuase I'm learning that the NHL is managed by politicians who think they can make things better, and all they do is continue to screw it up. It's happening in the NFL as well now. It's all about money, and it's really nothing to do with fans. It's pretty obvious it's not about the fans when last year I think it was philly and pitt that had the big brawls for 2 games then in game 3 if they looked at each other funny, the refs were calling penalties. I don't know what fan wasn't on the edge of his seat loving every second of those brawls. That's part of the game. WTF is the league brass doing? People want hits, they want goals, they want fights, and so far we have none of the above. Thanks NHL.
