Much like the people I work with daily, there is no accountability with the referees. They aren't held to a standard. I honestly think refs just assume things and call penalties. They don't actually see it. The PS called last night is a key example. The ref was behind the play, sees the wings stick go horizontal and calls a hook and a PS. It's ridiculous.

Are we gonna play any offense this period? WTF wings come on...quit reacting to s***cago and start controlling the play.

Last time we played Chicago someone touched Teowe's hand with their stick on a breakaway and he got a penalty shot for it. Last night someone touched the guy's stick on a break away and got a penalty shot for it.

The referee system in all the major sports really needs a lot of work. They play too large a role in games.

What is with us never getting power plays in recent games? Last time we played s***cago we didn't even get a PP if i remember correctly.

We coulda had this route if we woulda won the president's trophy. Instead the wings chose to suck on defense most of the year. I heard the NHL didn't even draw a 1 rating which his horrific in game 1. But, I have no link, just heard it on the radio. Hence whY i'm asking.

Anyone know what kind of ratings the finals are drawing? I dont' know if anyone is even paying attention, shy of hardcore hockey fans.

You guys have no idea how glad i was to see the canucks score 3 5 on 3 power play goals on San Jose in like a 2 minute span. I was laughing my ass off while reading the sharks forum on HF Boards. Hmm, remember last year? Well, they got em all called agianst them in the same game at the same time. I just found it hilarious. I f***in hate the sharks, but would ultimately want to see Tampa Bay win the cup this year. But i just don't think either team in the east has what it takes to beat either SJ or Van. The west is a level higher overall in my opinion. The only way the league will get this diving nonsense out of the game is to start calling ONLY the diver and really start calling it frequently. They almost never call it, or take both players on the rare occasion they do call it. It'd be an endless loop of arguing lol.

I don't mean for this to sound like some elitest comment but when the wings are favored to win the cup 17 of the past 20 years, I would think it's a special thing to knock them out of the playoffs. Hopefully the wings continue to be a dominant team in the league. I don't want it to end. San Jose really pisses me off. I think they're going to lose in 5 games to Vancouver and I really think the wings would give a much better showing to Vancouver. ARGHHH
