This is the era of the cap. We can't just say "Hey, let's get a top 6 winger and 2 top defensemen". We can't go out spending with blank checks anymore. I dont' think we need another "top 6 winger". We need to change the offensive pieces a little bit, like Hudler. Get someone for him, someone new. Modano will be gone, get another gritty player that can score 20 goals if we can find him. If Lids retires and we get rid of Rafalski that's 12-13 milion, you can take all of that money and sure up the defensive with 2-3 solid defensemen. If we let ralalski go and maybe Ericcson and keep Lids, we can still get 1 good defensemen and another decent one. I definitely think we gotta get younger and faster on defense. No doubt about it.

Well i hope we can extend our series now. Would be nice.

For anyone else just tuning in, we never just had a 1 goal lead, WE HAD A 3 GOAL LEAD in this game. We have had all the power plays in this game. The game is tied at 3. How can you do anything but laugh or cry at this? It's just absurd.

All I can do is laugh. This is just ridiculous. Fire: Salei Hudler Ericcson Rafalski Let Lids retire. Rebuild the defense with the cap money as best as possible. I dont know what else to do.

I actually think the refs are trying to help us out this time. power plays are 4-0 in our favor. You know SJ is going to get at least one power play in the 3rd, and guess what? They're going to score on it. Why would it be any different from the rest of this godforsaken series? God I hope I'm wrong.

News flash, the pace was only like that because SJ wasn't skating as hard. Now that SJ smells blood, they've picked it up, and it has gone back to looking like the last 3 games. This is no mystery. Time for us to stop thinking we're the ones dictating this series. We're not. We're a step down from SJ and Vancouver. And, I hate to admit that. But it's true. The last 2 years have proved it. We have to retool a bit and get back on top.

Chicago fans were not positive when they were down 3-0. They didn't get positive until they won game 5. Sorry. The fact that we are down 3-0 to the same team back to back years is just ridiculous. This team needs some tuning. Not rebuilding, but tuning.

How come all the fans know that PREVENT DEFENSE IN THE NHL DOESN"T WORK 99% OF THE TIME? Oh mY GOD. The wings decided to play prevent for 15 minutes of the 20 minute period. You could just see the ******* goal coming. I swear to God this team is not a stanley cup team, no way. Can barely kill penalties, doesn't get the puck out of the zone smartly, doesn't want to scrum for goals, etc, etc, etc. I really hope we win but come on. Sharks are 6-0 in 1 goal games against us the last 2 years in the playoffs and have won all the OT games. STreaks are all meant to be broken but I have zero faith. Goin to bed, can't take it.
