I hope LA wins. I hate Luongo. That ****** is so overrated, and he talks like he is THE MAN. It's retarded. Can't stand the twins either. I don't even have a good reason, I just can't stand lookin at them haha.

I am not sure why there's so much optimism right now. I am extremely concerned. Every time the coyotes get the puck in our zone, they are allowed to move around the boards freely. They could have scored 3-4 goals in that period. We are lucky they suck at finishing. When are we going to stop playing so passive? I do not remember the wings ever playing this passive in the last 20 years that I have been a fan. AND WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE THE RESTRAINING ORDER OFF OF BERTUZZI SO HE CAN GO OUT AND NAIL SOMEONE? In one play he was skating with the guy who had the puck right along the board and backed off, never even touched him. I don't get it. That guy should be slamming people. I'm highly concerned. We are fighting back a bit more but we have not had any great scoring chances and we are still getting manhandled, just not quite as bad as last game.

Are you kidding me? LOL. I don't think so. There are still a handful of teams with superior talent, that still get bogged down by penalties all because they had 2 calls which were perfectly legit, and then the other team gets 2 calls go their way which end up such weak, pathetic calls, just because the refs feel they owe em something, or because the box score shows uneven penalties. So why bother pretend to be objective then? The refs dig themselves a hole here doing it, too. Teams that get more than a 1 goal lead in playoff games end up penalized for it. Sometimes they can still work through it, but I believe the refs give the weaker, or team getting beat, more opportunities. Pay attention to it. I'm telling you... There isn't enough parity in the league yet to say all teams are close to equal. Do you really think Phx is on the level of Detroit? Or that Colorado is on the level of SJ? Or that LA is on the level of Vancouver? Or that Washington is as bad as Montreal? Come on. It'll be interesting to see this chicago game tonight. It doesn't benefit the league to have good teams get eliminated. Nobody wants to see LA vs Montreal in the finals.

anyone else notice nobody has won by more than 1 goal in all of the 7 playoff games so far? What's up with that? (If someone did please correct me, because I don't feel like looking) I don't really think it's fair to the better teams that earn a bigger lead, then have to get ticky tack calls made on them to give other teams an opportunity. I hope that don't happen tonight.

I don't think Colorado stands a chance. SJ has a lot to prove and I think they'll be gunning. Colorado doesn't look impressive at all. SJ is a choker, but generally only against good teams (may be wrong on this but the big upsets I can recall are against other teams that are as good as them or comparable). I hope Ottawa destroys Pit, but I doubt it.

Yeah. And let's say that there was bias going on. You'd have to prove it. How in the world would you be able to prove it? I mean, sometimes it seems obvious but it doesn't...it's hard to prove something like that unless someone came out and said something. Even if the calls were ticky tack and being called all one way, that still isn't "proof".

They must not have sold many. Ugh, that sucks. Well, I guess maybe after this cup run, I will purchase a larger banner that has all the cups listed and hang that one. Do you know for sure if they make a full size replica listing all the cups? I didn't take that close a look at finding those because as soon as I didn't see a 2008 banner I moved on to the next website.

I have the 97, 98, and 02 banners, and I have been hanging them in front of my garage door for the past few years. I cannot find a 2008 one. I got all of them from people getting me presents or whatever, and the people that got me these told me they have not seen any since 02. These are about 4 ft tall by 2 ft wide, somewhere around there. They're decent size. I'd really like a 2008 one to hang all 4 up. If anyone knows where I can buy it can you please point me in the direction? I think the 3 I have were made by CCM.

Ahh, the classy and classless arguments are starting already lol. It's their team, they want to support their team and they'll take any cheapshots they can on their opponent. Most of what they say is true sometimes. We do not appear to sell out the Joe (even if all tickets are sold, the full crowd is not there), I don't know what it is about the microphone setup but when I watch a game on FSD it sure sounds like it's silent all game. Even when I go to games on occasion the crowd quiets down for most of the game. Games on CBC sound way more intense. Again, maybe it's a microphone issue. I think maybe we are just used to seeing our teams win and we don't get that loud unless it's a big rivalry game or a ton is on the line or something. And Detroit city is a crap hole if you ask me, and I live here. I avoid going down there other than for Jury Duty or sports games. What I take a little issue with is their totally misconstrued arguments on how their team is on our level. Most of those fans over there seem to think that these teams are evenly matched. Well, I guess if you look at the stats it appears this way. But our core group has won 4 cups and I think the numbers would be much more inflated if most of our starters played all season. Those fans over there conveniently forget about that. We'd probably be in the race for the conference title had we been healthy (who knows for sure though). They also forget that we have been playing low scoring games and winning with clutch goals lately, just like Phoenix plays. So when I see them say that their team will wear us down, that's a little bit silly to me. But again, I'm sure to them I'm the homer, so... Oh one other thing which was laughable is how they think Detroit gets all of the referee calls, when we think we get the short end most of the time since we are often the more talented team and Buttman hates us for being so successful. What I really do like about our fans is that we do not chant "X Team Sucks" or too many derogatory (sp) chants. We get on crosby, but that's a true statement. The chicago fans chanting "Detroit sucks" is a joke. Remember when teams would try to tease the Russian 5 by chanting "USA"? I swear for a minute there it seemed like every time they did that, the Russian 5 scored a goal. haha

I'm surprised people are picking the Hawks to not win, or require more than 5 games to beat Nashville. Nashville has never won a road game in the playoffs, and they just don't appear to be an impressive team. In my opinion, none of the bottom 4 other than Detroit are scary at all. It's surprising to me about the Nashville respect though. I think Nashville will be able to stay in the game, but that's about it. Chicago is too fast and has too much offense to lose more than a game. If it goes six i will be shocked. Nashvile isn't winning a game in Chicago either. Also if Nashville were to upset CHicago, I think all of CHicago will collectively set themselves on fire. What a meltdown that would be! Same with SJ. Luongo is totally overrated, but it won't appear that way in the first round. It will in the second though. These playoffs will be fantastic. You seriously have the East being this competitive? Yeah, you know why? Because they all suck and they're playing each other, LOL. If they were playing western teams I'd predict every west team in 5 or less .

I agree with you. Yeah they played a lot of hockey, but it ain't like they get 2 weeks off. They get 3 months off. lol. The human body recovers quick. Mental stress is gone in that amount of time.

I'm surprised that there are people who are looking in hindsight saying Osgood should have started more games. Let's say he did, and continued to have average or bad games. If he had started another 10 games, and lost just 5 of them, we would not be in the playoffs. I don't get what people are thinking saying this. It's easy to say though, now that we have clinched a playoff berth. It's also amazing the same people getting down on a coach that has taken this team to nearly back to back stanley cups and a great opportunity to get back there a 3rd straight year, yet he doesn't know how to coach, or handle goaltenders? Come on. I'm just as worried about the situation going into the playoffs as anyone, but right now there is no hot goalie in the playoffs in the west. So Howard has just as good a shot as any. Chicago is shakey, SJ we have their number, Luongo continues to be overrated, etc.

Some team is going to have to prove they are the new 'team to beat' in the playoffs. Until then, the wings clearly have the psychological advantage on San Jose, Chicago, and Vancouver. Yeah we lost some goals, but after we got the full team back, we got to within 6 pts of chicago after this mess of a season. That's pretty impressive. A series with Detroit and Chicago this playoffs would be spectacular.

I really hate these stupid expansion teams. I just hate them. Nobody even knows who is on that team other than Erat maybe because of the dumbass sounding name. Sorry, I'm just annoyed. Whenever they get the puck they make something happen. When we get it we are busy looking for pretty plays. They are going to clamp down on us, we are gonna have to outwork them in the 3rd to win this game.

I don't think Ozzie starts the playoffs. I think this is the year they try to raise a young buck in Howard, and let him take his licks (unless he has a meltdown like Legace). We need to develop a young goalie and this is it right now. I think the only way Ozzie plays in the playoffs is if Howard melts down.
