If you think Bert is ever going to be aggressive again, you're dreaming. That Moore incident messed with him in regards to his temper. It's obvious that he doesn't partake in too much extracurricular activity.

This is one game I'm not worried about. We have totally dominated this game from start to finish. I'm not concerned. I don't mind Howard making those mistakes when it doesn't cost the team.

I think it was based on the fact that the wings were so banged up, yet Howard kept a low 2GAA average. In the past, we had a stunning offense all season and never had trouble making it to the playoffs. This year was totally different and we had to rely on the goalie a ton. I would guess that's why he said it. As far as regular season goes, anyway.... If you're talking PLayoffs, you cannot take away what Osgood has done the last 2 years. What do you guys think will happen come playoff time now? If you would have asked me a month or two ago, I would have said Babs would go to Osgood to start the playoffs. Now I have no doubt Howard will start the playoffs, and as long as he doesn't waiver, will stay in net. I do think Babs will switch to Osgood though at the first sight of big trouble.

What a great game. The wings didn't score in regulation but more importantly, they played solid defense for the most part. I am starting to really buy into them having things turned around. They're starting to take shape. I just hope it keeps up and they can at least finish 5th. Howard's coming out party may have been that Pittsburgh game.

I think it's pathetic that the west is SO MUCH STRONGER than the east. If the Pens were in this conference, they'd be 2 points away from being 9th. LOL The east's 5, 6, 7, and 8 seeds wouldn't even be in the playoffs right now in the west.

I don't think it's very likely Chicago will collapse bad enough honestly. I would love to take 4th spot though, that way we are at least not guarenteed to play on the road to start every series, and can avoid one of those big boys in the first round. As much as I think we match up and scare the begeezes out of all top 3 teams right now, I'd still like to avoid them for a round. The wings generally get their juices flowing starting the 2nd round. The first always seems to be tough for Detroit. Maybe this year will be different since we have had to play hard all the way up to the playoffs. But you still would like to avoid those big boys. Chicago's Defense is banged up and their goalies suck. Just hope Niemi doesn't somehow get on a hot streak. That game for Chicago might mean "If we beat Detroit, we can avoid them in the first round". I think it will make a difference somehow. By the way, the calgary/boston game is huge today, for obvious reasons. Boston needs 2 points to stay in 8th, Calgary needs 2 points to keep any hope alive of catching us. It would be too good to be true for Calgary to lose today and really take the pressure off. I have a feeling Detroit isn't paying any more attention to them. I think they are looking at the Preds now, and worrying about moving up, not worried about moving out.

I don't think Vancouver has much chance to win the cup. Do damage in the playoffs? Sure. Win a cup? No way. There are too many good teams this year. I don't think Vancouver is better than SJ. SJ is notorious for choking though, and Vancouver is not a proven playoff team.

Those canuck fans have quite a delusional opinion of their team. I saw one poster say that they could go through Detroit, SJ, Chicago, and Washington to win the cup. Really? LOL. I wouldn't hold much faith that a proven champ like the wings could even pull that off. The canucks are not a proven playoff team, Luongo is in my opinion overrated, and until the Canucks can prove it, I do not expect them to go very far. They will get to 2nd round at most this year. I would put several teams ahead of them in terms of how good they are. I would bet on SJ, Detroit, Chicago, and even LA to beat vancouver. I think phoenix will be happy to make the playoffs and if they face the wings, will get upset. And it's funny, I read some of the posts that said "i wonder why Detroit is battling for a playoff spot, we're the better team", by canucks fans. Well, true, they are much higher in the rankings. But I think we are battling for a playoff spot purely because we had so many injuries most of the season. Look how the wings have played the last 7 games, going 6-0-1, with a full roster that is starting to come together. I think we'd be at least 4th, battling somewhat with Chicago for the division title, if we had been mostly healthy all season. I mean come on, at one time we had 9 regulars out. That's CRAZY!

What a great win. The team is starting to shape up, even though St. Louis took it to them. The wings would not have won this game a couple months ago. Nice job boys.

I think we're playing pretty well. I expected the wings to be a little sluggish to start but they really haven't been, and they started taking over at the end of the period. Look for a couple penalties to go the way of the Pens in this period. You can clearly tell the Pens are much different without Malkin. Malkin should have gotten most of the credit for the playoff win last year in my opinion. Crosby was not much of a threat last playoff in our series.

What i find amazing are the standings this morning. Compare East and West conferences. Their 5, 6, 7, and 8 place teams would not even be near the playoffs if they were in the west. Their 3rd place team would be tied or battling for 8th in the west.

If we win the game I will certainly bow down to you. I should dis Filpula more often. Every time I do he scores a goal in the game. What a turnaround. I have no faith though, that we will maintain this 1-goal lead. We better get more.

See what I'm talking about? Too many frickin passes. Datsyuk passes up great oppportunity to shoot the puck. Stuart shoots way high of the net from the line. Filpula is a goofball in front of the net. Too many passes. Again, a cross-ice pass gets deflected and there's a race for it to the Detroit zone. Too much skating around the perimeter. This has been going on all frickin year. Where's Franzen? Have not even noticed him in this period.

Who is the jackass who keeps going back to "believe" around here? Someone did that for yesterday's game, wait, someone does that for every game. I hope you are correct.

Here's my opinion on why they don't get breaks:1 1. They almost never shoot the puck at the net with traffic there. 2. One skater brings it in, tries to make some ridiculous cross-ice pass with 3 defenders in the middle 3. Skates in, gets to decent ice (between circles) and passes it to a winger somewhere by the boards 4. Cycles the puck way too much 5. One skater tries to beat 4 players I'm so sick of seeing the fancy crap. For the love of God, 2 players go to the net, D man shoot into traffic. That's how most every goal has been scored on us lately.

Let me guess, I just have to "Believe"? I hate that slogan, or whatever people call it. As if believing has anything to do with some team on TV winning a game.
