Good job matt!

I think we will all understand better when the long list of injuries comes out. On the news they said that Zetterberg was maybe 70%. I didn't even know he was injured. He played pretty well, but at times looked like he didn't have as much jump as usual in hindsight. Today Datsyuk looked slower than he did in the previous 2 games. I wonder if playing in game 5 hurt his foot worse and it continued to get aggravated.

Boy imagine if we actually lived up to our potential. I may sound ungrateful for 4 cups in 12 years, but man...this team has been so damn good for so long. I mean honestly, they're favored every year, seems like for the last 12-15 years, to win the cup. And rightfully so...

I feel absolutely horrible for Hossa. He's the only man out of both teams that is 0-2 for Cups. And he took less money...he looked like he was going to cry, or was crying, immediately at the end of the game.

I bet those big time offers go down by a couple million. Nevertheless, if we can get him for less, we should try to keep him. He's too good of a talent.

Let's be fair though, in the 3rd period, the Pens had no desire to play offense. They were on a PK for 20 minutes. That's why the period looked so lopsided. I just don't get what was up with us not getting to the pucks. Maybe we'll find out we had a ton of serious injuries. It's the only thing I can think of. But, in all fairness, we had the same problem against the Ducks, the Hawks, and the Pens....

Mickey Redmond didn't come out and say the injuries but he mentioned the following players were very banged up: Holmstrom Cleary Draper Datsyuk Lidstrom Rafalski He said none of them would even be playing if it weren't for the WCF. I will be very interested to see what all of the injuries were.

I thought the wings fans at the joe were very classy. They only booed Bettman, but cheered when the cup was being brought out, and when the players were skating aorund with it. Very classy. I honestly expected to see the crowd leave, but nobody did.

We all follow the 82 game season and then go through all the same ups and downs with the team. It's hard not to be really upset. I have tried to not allow myself to get so wrapped up with this team in the playoffs, simply becasue it's better for my health (lol) but it's so hard to detach yourself when you start getting into the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Stuart made the dumbass ******* play and cost us the goal, no excuses. Stuart is on my s***list for the entire summer.

I feel the same. I'm more mad than sad. Probably because we came off a cup win last year. And, this year we went as far as we could go to repeat and lost. I'm so mad at Stuart right now... I don't undedrstand what the problem was all series and the same in Anaheim with clearing the damn puck.

I hear ya, but we can live without the following: Samuelson (which is a joke) Stuart (maybe he'll leave) Hudler (I love the guy and don't want to see him leave, but for Hossa I'd let him go) Filpulla i have mixed feelings on. He can make spectacular plays but he also disappears for very long periods. I am not sure he's all that he's cracked up to be honestly. Can't lose Cleary. Helm and Abdelkader earned their spot. All I'm saying is if they can work something out for him, they need to try and keep Hossa. He's too good of a player. Those players don't fall on your lap every day. On another note, I wouldn't be surprised if Hossa decides that he wants to leave. Bad taste in his mouth.

Hossa definitely needs to stay. I mean seriously. The guy is a top 10 forward in the league. You can't let a player like that get away. I'm sure he feels worse than anyone. The rest of the team won last year, and Hossa is the only man on both teams that is 0-2. If people wanna bag on a player tonight, bag on Stuart. My God man, he costs us the penalty, and costs us both goals. Just unbelieavable.

I like how poeple are pinning this all on Hossa, then in the next breath the wings are a TEAM. What a joke. Hossa allowed us to get home ice in the regular season, and he may not have had a big SCF but he wasn't extremely bad in the playoffs. How much more did Datsyuk really do than HOssa did? Seriously. You can't let a player liek Hossa go. We'll be back next year. No reason to think we won't. Players I'd get out of here (because frankly they make me sick) are Samuelson and Stuart.

Anyone calling a fan here that's pissed off and upset can eat a dick. We are all very passionate about our team. The Pens deserve to win this cup. They beat us 4 out of 5 games when nobody said they could (including me). Props to them. Also I think the crowd at JLA is actually being pretty classy, by chearing players that are skating around with the cup. Any Pens fans on this board, congratulations. Your team deserves it. In regard to the wings, absolutely no excuse. Pathetic effort. The only reason the wings controlled the 3rd period like they did was because the Pens had a 2-goal lead and it was virtually a 20 minute penalty kill. Absolutely pathetic play by Stuart tonight. He cost us this game singlehandedly.

Fleury looks like the fluery that's played at home...he's been a little lucky but he's been great. Credit to him.

i guess all we can hope for is a comeback like in 2007 when the Ducks had us down 4-0 and we came back 4-3... I don't really knwo waht else to say. The Pens are outhustling and I don't really see them allowing Detroit 2 goals in the 3rd period with the cup on the line. I just don't. The more this game goes on the tighter they're going to grip the sticks. Oh and by the way, could we please hit the net when we get a shot? I'm tired of the shots from the point going wide. It's ridiculous.

This is absolutely not the refs losing this game for us. This is lack of care and effort. How the f*** are we being outshot AGAIN, this time in our own rink? Absolutely ridiculous.

It's not even Hossa's fault. Stuart cost us every ******* goal and the power play we gave up. No tenacity at all by Detroit. Absolutely pathetic. The Pens deserve the cup...we are a joke. The lackluster plays all season are finally coming to bite us in the ass.

The wings are being beaten to every ******* puck. The Pens deserve to win the Cup. The wings are playing absolutely ridiculous. And no, it's not Osgood's fault.

I disagree with those saying we had a great first period. It was alright, but the Pens had the puck in our zone WITH POSSESSION quite a bit. It looked like a power play at times. What is up with that? This year all playoffs we have had that trouble of getting the puck out of the zone quick. I guess credit the Pens. They're playing hard. Detroit had good scoring chances but I don't think they took enough shots.

The Pens carried the play WAY too much for my liking in the second half of that period. If we get a goal, I think we'll start taking over. But, we have to get some frickin scoring chances. What's up with taking the puck to the side? CRASH THE NET! GOOD THINGS HAPPEN!
