To me they look like they're actually playing with a little less. I wonder if the pressure of being at home and about to be embarassed 2 straight years is getting to them. They're a newbie team after all.

I hate it when that douchebag Olcyk or whomever is doing the color commentary states that the "wings interfere subtly". It just makes the Wings look so bad, when they are not doing anything but playing ******* HOCKEY. My God. You can stand your ground on your ice. If a player runs into you and calls that 'a pick', that's not interference as long as you don't deliberately move to impede his direction. I swear. I wish he'd stop saying that. Until he said it last game, we didn't hear anything out of the stupid Pens fans. Then 50 threads get started about it.

As an FYI on that, the guy 100 feet away called it. The ref standing right there, didn't call anything and was looking right at it. At any rate, I'll take 2-2 after 1. The big guns are starting to get it going a bit. I don't like how we can't get the damn puck out of the zone.

Why not? They can take instigators and have them rescinded...put half the roster out there...

It's looking like the big guns got together and said "we're tired of being shown up by these Grand Rapids Kids". I woudln't doubt it if that line gave some smack talk to Z and Franzen a little bit...

Leino coulda passed it to Z before he ever tried to score. Z was there wide open for a good 3-5 seconds.

As much as I'd love to see it, I just don't see the wings holding the Pens to 2 or less goals AGAIN. You never know, but you gotta think in one of these games, Osgood is going to get dented up a little bit. But I don't know. It's really hard to predict. Because of last year's failure, ALL of the pressure is on Crosby and the Pens to perform, and especially MAF. Those guys don't wanna look bad. MAF might be very shakey tonight, especially if the wings can get one on him in the first 10 minutes of the game...or on the first 1 or 2 shots. I'm really pulling, I just think tonight is the game that we lose.

What's this I hear that Bettman is going to increase the salary cap next year by 12 million? I mean if he does that, then there's no problem. We won't lose anyone, and I"m all for signing hossa. Who in the league can match our talent as it is?

I'm just glad that we have a much more classy administrator on this board who would not stoop to insulting an entire city in a non-hockey related way, such as bagging on Detroit because of the high unemployment rate or the dessimated educational system. Dignity and respect go a long way.

While that may be true, they both have a knack of scoring big goals out of nowhere. Draper is not very good offensively. He rarely even hits the damn net with his shots.

If I were on the Pens I'd be more worried not so much about giving up 2-3 goals, but why my team can't score more than 1 goal a game. Even if you want to say all 6 goals were luck, the Pens only scored 2 goals (1 they didn't even score, and the other you could also consider lucky since Ozzie has been red hot and usually stops that shot). So, you aren't that far away from being shut out back to back AGAIN!

The offensive loss is big if they do swap those 2 players...but the speed is an improvement. That, and Draper is hungry to get in the lineup and do something I think.

I like the optimism in this thread, but I doubt we're winning tonight. We'll be battling the NHL and referees all night as well, unlike the first 2 games. I think it'll be 4-2 Pens. BUT, I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hope we win.

How about, The NHL is marketing the wrong guy. If they were going to market someone from PIT they should be marketing Malkin...oh wait, he's not North American. Crosby was annointed before he ever played an NHL game, slap in the face as far as I'm concerned to the rest of the NHL players. And, the NHL players voted Crosby the 8th best player in the league (3 wings players voted higher by the way, 2 in the top 5). I'd rather see the NHL market the best player in the league, not some crybaby who hasn't earned his way.

Ugh...all this talk about interference. I don't think they know what interference is. I think we could all go down the line and list calls that 'shoulda' been made. But you know, if they're letting it go on one side, they're letting it go on the other. I can live with that. Now, if tomorrow the refs start calling a ton of penalties, especially when the same 4 refs will be involved, then it's obvious the league talked to the refs about something. Otherwise, this series shoudl be called the exact same way all 4-7 games.

1. That line would beat the living hell out of Crosby. The pens should be happy they're playing the wings, who while they check hard, don't play dirty. 2. Anaheim plays solid, shutdown defense, with 2-way forwards. No Pens fan knows what this means. 3. Anaheim's goalie was far superior to MAF. And we still won...

The wings have over a 96% chance to win this series based on history. If you can't be optimistic with that type of statistic, why don't you stop watching sports?

QFT Ain't that the truth? IT's ok. I expect Pit to win tomorrow...then we will hear how they're going to come back and win the series for 2 days, then we'll smack them again and win the cup here on Saturday.

Oh and by the way, we haven't even shown our Hart Trophy candidate. This series is done. Congrats on 'playing better'. At this point last year, you scored 0 goals and now you've scored 2. Your goalie is still a head case, and your team doesn't play solid, shut down defense. But you want to win the cup, and you want us Wings fans to sit here and tell you that your team is better than Detroit...ok. GIve me a break. The Pens have played their best game and lost. The wings have been tired from the last series (it's obvious) and haven't played Red Wing hockey yet. Penguins are doomed. I love how this scheduling thing completely backfired on Bettman and the Penguins as well. Back to Back SCF games and shortening up the length of time off to 2 days for Detroit, being banged up, almost certainly would take home ice advantage away from any other team. The fact that Detroit won both games without playing their best, and without their top defensive forward (which Pens have no idea what this term means), is unbelievable. The wings win back to back games, and embarrass Crosby and Bettman on national ******* television. I love it.
