One major regret I have with the Pens scoring is now we have to listen to it over the intermission...we were gonna listen to it anyways but now since they're "not losing" we're gonna hear it.

Not going to hammer Ozzy on that, he's been spectacular all playoffs for us. The puck shoulda been cleared anyway. Wings looked a bit better, Pens definitely playing better than they did last year, although I think we are handling them pretty darn well. Crosby and Malkin haven't had much at all. They better get used to it. I can live with goals from their depth, because I'm confident our depth can beat theirs.

Jersey Wing, I agree with you. I think Babs is going to use the league giving them no respect as bulletin board material. 4 cups in 12 years and they're getting no respect. It's pretty amazing. The commercial showing the Pens coming back in the series and not showing the Wings hoisting the cup is, in my opinion, a slap in the face to the Wings.

I meant' to say you could say they were not acclimated the first game, but not both games. My fault. I mean, you just played your entire season and fine, you want to take 1 game and say you weren't expecting such a tough task, but come on. 2 games? And you don't even score A GOAL in 2 games? I think it's a bit more than that... They shut down Crosby and Malkin for the entire series.

I think you can make the case they weren't prepared for the first 2 games, but after that you can't. And again, the next 4 that your'e talking about should have gone 3 to the wings, 1 to Pit, but of course the Refs decided to screw us in game 5. Pit has been playing eastern talent for 1 1/2 months. Theyr'e about to step in against the world champs that play in a conference that's in a whole level above theirs. You don't think it's going to take a game to adjust to that, no matter how much you prepare? I mean, choosing to ignore the 2 games that you did in your argument is pretty silly. After all, we went up 2-0 in a series. That's 2 points out of 4 needed.

No it doesn't. The wings' defense shuts down the 'top scorers' all the time. I think people were saying alot of the same crap last year that they are this year. Pit is going to have to prove it to me before I buy it.

It's fact my friend. I don't get why people have such a hard time with this. The Wings are the top dog on the block, have been for years and years. The wings are 4-0 in their last 4 SCF appearances. Let's throw all the crap about which team is better or worse for a moment. Let's assume both teams got slightly better than last year. Last year's SCF wasn't really even that close. It was 30 seconds away from a 5 game sweep lol.

I agree. Nobody has the same or more talent than the REd Wings do in the league right now. The NHL can try to blow Pitt up as much as possible to make it seem that way, but they are just not as complete of a team. The league already tried to blow Chicago up like this, and Chicago did at first try to play Detroit skill for skill and got schooled. Then they turned to goonery (everyone should know by now only Ana can get away with it) and it cost them game 4. Pitt has some good talent with Crosby and Malkin, but those guys are not complete players yet in their careers. They are not as solid defensively as our top scorers. I'm sorry, I just don't know how people can say any team in this league matches up skill for skill with Detroit. I don't even think Anaheim could match us skill for skill and that is why they resorted to goonery tactics. It's kind of laughable, listening to Pat Capudo this afternoon on the radio. He thinks ON PAPER this series is going 7. In my opinion, ON PAPER this series goes 5. Throw in reality of the NHL and refereeing, and this series probably goes longer.

If our PK was up around 90% we'd be giving up 1 goal a game... It seems the only way teams stay in the games against us is because of our crappy PK. We faced two potent power play teams in Anaheim and Chicago. I don't think Pitt is as good as those two...ironic considering all the hyper with Malkin and Crosby.

I still dont' understand why our PK has been so subpar this year. The entire year! A 73% PK in the playoffs? Wow. That's gotta rank amongst the worst ever. It's just hard to believe we are that bad on the PP. Why do you guys think that is?

I'm jsut thankful we got our blue line back. I'm not all that worried about Datsyuk being out. We have a ton more deph in that area than we do with 2-3 Dmen injured...

Don't get on the OP too much. I think he just misinterpreted it. If you read it fast, it does sound like Crosby is bagging on Z, but when you read it again, it definitely is Crosby giving Z alot of props.

It's going to depend on the circumstances...but I already give them credit...they've got 2 of the top players in the league and even though most agree the East is weaker overall, it's very respectable to win 3 straight series, 2 years in a row.

It's only gonna be the most exciting ever if the refs interfere too much with the series...i.e. try to extend it a long time (sorta like what they did to us last year to make it go 6).

On that game, does Bettman present the cup or anything, and the crowd boo him like crazy? Just wondering how real it is. The last NHL EA Sports game I bought was 2002 I think...

We've been hearing this 'they're too old' excuse since 1996, and now they've won 4 cups...and really maintained that veteran/young talent balance... In fact, I'd argue that this year, they've got more young talent stepping up for them than ever.
