My guess is she misinterpreted something a fan called in and said or maybe she misinterpreted the discussion... I'm listening to 97.1 and they are talking about 'What IF' that were true...maybe that's where she got it from... I'm sure if that was the case, it'd be plastered on the news sites. -
I think it'll be a better matchup than last year because of our injuries and the revenge factor...but I could still see the wings winning it in 5 or 6. Last year it could have easily been 5 if not for help from the refs... We'll see I guess. I'm uneasy, but I still also believe that Anaheim was the toughest test.

You'd think after 4 cups in 11, and about to be 5 in 12, the league WOULD be centered around the Wings a little bit more. After all, in the past 12 years, the wings have been the favorite to win the cup, EVERY YEAR. But you know, if I were just a casual fan of hockey, I'd never even know Detroit won the Cup last year.

I did in an earlier post. The refs stayed out of deciding the game, and I think because Mc Creary was refereeing, they didn't allow the scrums after the whistle. The last time he refed a game for us, Mc Creary was throwing players to the sin bin for stuff after the whistle, and the game played much smoother after a couple incidences.

This is a year unlike any other recent stanley cup run. I mean, in all the other 3, I believe the big guns were scoring throughout, and the secondary and tertiary scorers were scoring here and there, chipping in. This year, it seems as it's 90% the secondary and tertiary scoring, with the big guns chipping in on occasion. And, having outstanding goaltending to get us here... I really hope that the big guns start scoring alot more in the finals...I think we're going to need it.

Man, we all should bow down to Ozzie after today. He played as phenominal as Huet did. Huet was stealing that game for the Hawks and Ozzie stood tall and prevented that from happening. Ozzy, you're the man, man.

There's bab's shot at the schedule for the SCF...I love it...he doesn't sound too happy either... They earned this time off winning in 5...and the league took it away...

I think if we hvae to play back to back here, we should have to play back to back there...but that's just my opinion...whatever. No real point crying ni the SCF...right Crosby?

It was fitting for Helm to get that goal. He was all over the place tonight, what a PK. I won't be forgetting that beauty of a kill for some time. And with that game winner and series winner, Helm is going to gain even more confidence...

Im still shaking. When that puck was laying there i'm like COME ON HIT IT IN HELM!!! Then i started runnin garound the house LOL. All my talk about toning it down this year and not getting too attached...who am I kidding? Bring on Crosby...and the pens lol

Tonight, lets face it, the puck has just bounced Chicago's way alot. Huet has made incredible stops, as has Ozzie, but most nites, with the opportunities the wings have had, they'd have scored at least 3 or 4 off of those...

I really hope we win. This entire city and the media have already shrugged off Chicago and looked to the next round. I really hope we don't have to go to a game 6. I don't think Chicago is going to play another crap game from now on...so for us to eliminate them, with all of our injuries, is going to be very rough if we don't get it done today.

Yea, that was the save of the series for sure. GOtta give Chicago credit for hanging in there. Our defense has to be getting worn out, only playing 4 primarily...oh boy. Man, I hope the wings come out carrying the play in OT. Last thing I want to see is chicago with the possession the entire freakin time...

You have to give all the credit to Chicago in that period. They played pretty solid defensively. Homer better get his temper in check. He's the only one on the wings losing it at times. I'm sure he's frustrated, but man...he's going to cost us.

If we keep playing like that, it's just a matter of time. The wings are swarming. So far Huet is stealing the game. On a 63 shot pace, the red wings are. Wow lol.

I wonder sometimes how much we look at the games in a bias manner. I try to be as objective as I can, but even then I still alot of times see the wings getting screwed out of more calls than the opponent does (especially with anaheim). If you go to the anaheim board, or chicago board, they're all saying the exact opposite of what we say: that the refs are in love with us and that they're getting all the s***ty calls and such.

I could see that. We'll see how badly he wants to get to the finals. I don't even care if he doesn't score the goals. Just set them up, or be such a defensive backchecking force that the Hawks dont' get anything going.

I actuyally side with you on this one. I think Chicago has been our easiest opponent. What made Columbus tougher was we knew they were going to be scrappy. Chicago I expected more wide open play and less defense on their part. With Khabi out, that makes them even worse.
