Well, wings are dominating. Just need one mistake by Anaheim to win this puppy. The ducks have not had much control in our zone, but the times they have, it's given me a heart attack lol.
-
Uh, most of those 'glove saves' were above the cross bar lol. He's been good , but nothing special yet. He's been shaky all series in my opinion. Hot goalies don't give up rebounds and scramble to find pucks after they save it.
-
I wish Hossa and the other big guns would shoot more. They're being a bit too cute and going for those cross ice passes in front of the offensive net. The ducks are collapsing nicely and stopping that. They need to go right to the net and shoot it, then cram the net. Who cares if it's a garbage goal. SHOOT IT.

I love the overtime playoff games, even though it gives me a heart attack. Come on Wings.

The ducks are hacking, cross checking, interfering just as much as they usually do. The refs are choosing to let it go. Pronger knocked someone down in the first when they were going in after the puck, no call. Kronwall 'annoys' the player going in and gets called. It's not right. Call it consistently. If both are supposed to be penalties, then my God, call them both. Don't let obvious crap go then call light crap in the next period. So frustrating it's ridiculous. At any rate, I agree with those who say we can't rely on the power play. The wings have not played well at all. I'm very surprised today. I thought they'd come in jumping. Maybe the flu is going around the dressing room? Hmm. Dats doesn't seem himself, neither does Hossa. I haven't even heard Zetterburg mentioned.
-
That interference call was ludicrous. The ducks have been doing that the entire game and it's been let go. I think that's why Babcock had the grin on his face. What's up with the red wings today? They look very lackluster.
-
If the league wants hits to the head out of the game, they need to suspend players everytime for that stuff. This just tells the ducks that the line is right there, so they can continue to do it again.
-
Yes I know, that's kind of what I was eluding to. It's a ridiculous statement to make, and uk-redwing made the same statement, that's why I had to address it.
-
Your last comment is interesting. So, since Pronger is a foot taller than anyone else on the Red Wings, if he goes and hits people in the head, then that's ok? come on...
-
Regarding the Hudler hit, let's say that the hit was from Brown's shoulder into Hudler's head. Would that still be illegal, since it's a hit to the head, even if the check is a shoulder hit?
-
And Babcock said "well, I'll just sit back and see what the league thinks about that hit, just like you guys" (talking about the press).
-
Essentially here's what Carlyle said about the Hudler hit: He said "last time I looked, this was a checking league and you're allowed to take the body. Not 1 second went off the clock from the time Hudler passed the puck until the time he got hit.". Then, yes, the next question he b*tched about Franzen scoring his first goal and how he followed up with running over Hiller. I thought that was actually legal, if you drive to the net and score a goal or get a great shot off and have nowhere to go, what else can you do? Yeah, he said "the video doesn't lie". lol What an F'n baby. He leads, and tolerates, the dirtiest team in the league and then complains like a *****.
-
Anyone just hear Anaheim's coach on the goalie interference and the hit on Hudler? What a ***, and a baby. QUIT WHINING!
-
I will say this: Hiller looked totally average to me. The commentators were trying to do an awful good job of praising Hiller, but the 'good saves' they showed of him, he was juggling the puck, didn't know where it was, etc. That's not a sign of a hot goalie. At any rate, I'm sure that has to do with the traffic in front.

I thought this was the worst game the wings played in the playoffs this year honestly. They were off for half the game, and were slow for the entire game it seemed to me. I think we're lucky we won, but I'll take that. They better be much improved for game 2. YAH BABY!
-
Where has hossa been? I haven't even heard his name mentioned. Don't remember seeing him on the ice either since the first...
-
I hate the ducks man. My God. What a bunch of F'n cheaters. I don't know who's dumber, the refs or the ducks...
-
The ducks are pieces of s***. I hope the wings mop them up tonight. My God. The wings look slow. I think their legs aren't under them yet.

DET/ANA 4-1 VAN/CHI 4-2 BOS/CAR 4-1 WSH/PIT 4-3

What a game! What domination! What checking! I am so impressed.
-
Ain't the Wings the ones supposed to be getting pounded since they aren't 'tough enough'? LOL GOOD!!!!!!!!!! I hope we see this on Pronger and Getzlaf in the next round.
-
On Sunday the commentators were rehashing quickly during the Anaheim game the other series and they 'forgot' to mention the Detroit series. They mentioned all the others. I don't get it, but whatever. You have a true powerhouse, arguably dynasty in the REd Wings and you rarely even see a commercial of someone hoisting the cup from Detroit. It's astounding to me really.
-
I thought i was the only one last night that noticed they kept showing that game 5 3OT win vs Detroit and how retarded it is because they don't even show or mention the Wings winning the cup last year. It's still all about how Cindy made it to the finals. God I hope someone knocks him out. Or at least, let it be a rematch and this time we can sweep their asses.
-
Does anyone know if the Chicago game will be on any channel we can watch around here? GO WINGS BABY!
-
I think Dats, Zett, and Hossa will start getting goals on the road. Hossa is just one little chip away from getting goals. He's getting chances. Hossa reminds me of our Fedorov back in 97 and 98, but with more skill. When he comes zooming through the neutral zone with the puck like a mack truck, that's what it reminds me of.
