I had a bad feeling Malkin might get it going. You can tell he's got more jump now. I'm scared sh*tless. We really need to take it to them in the 3rd and not sit back. I"m sure Babs is letting them know now. I do'nt know how this team could come back from 2 games in a row where the cup slips out of their hands...goodness.

I can see it both ways. If Detroit wins, it's typical resiliancy of Detroit buckling down and getting a win. If Detroit loses, it better be because Pitt outplayed Detroit as opposed to getting all kinds of breaks from the refs. I'm not complaining about the refs, I think we've all done enough of that. But I would prefer that it gets decided by the players. And just because Detroit wasn't lethal for 7 power plays doesn't mean the 8th won't work. Pitt didn't do a damn thing on the 2 interference calls in OT (surprisingly). I just knew when we got that 4 minute job that we were done. In fact i turned to my sister that was watching the game with me and said "we're not getting out of this'. Everybody was tired, it was 3rd OT, and a 4 minute PP for Pitt is just asking for all kinds of problems. Their PP has been excellent.

I know you'll pull through. You're a red wing fan. I hope everything goes well. PS. I don't know how the doctor expect your heart not to be racing when you know damn well that from 8-11pm ET tomorrow night, there's a game going on.

You know what, I'm going to go ahead and say this right now: I have to give alot of credit to the Penguins. I really expected them to come to Detroit and lay down (almost). I figured Detroit would kill them pretty easily and we'd have game in hand by the end of the first. But come on, the rest of us have to admit, it took alot of guts for the Pens to come in and get a win out of JLA. I mean, with us able to win the cup THAT NIGHT and a big win the previous game in their building, it took alot of courage and admiration and I respect the hell out of the Pens for pulling that off. I'm going to say as well that I'm quite concerned now. I have not been worried much in this series until right now. Game 6 there may be a better chance for us to win than a game 7 here. I say that becuase the wings appear to be nervous in front of their own fans rather than other team's fans. I like our chances better tomorrow than in a game 7, and that is really scary to me. Think about what might be on the minds of the red wings if this series goes to a game 7. You had the entire town ready to celebrate and game 5 was just a formality. Everybody EXPECTED a win. I think it may be in the wing's minds that they were 34 seconds away from a cup win and they lost and don't want to become arguably one of the worst ways to lose a cup in the history of the game. I know this team is resiliant, but I mean, that is ALOT of pressure to live up to. I think the Wings may take the "business" approach to the game tomorrow and go in there and get it done, but we'll see. The Pens have all the momentum right now. My worst fear is that Malkin starts waking up, and that they keep getting the bounces and scoring goals like that. Do I think the Pens are better team than Detroit? No. Detroit clearly has shown when they want to, they can take it to the Pens and there's not much the Pens can do except hold on. But the Pens aren't a weak team either. They have too much talent to screw around with, and if they had a bit better of a supporting cast, they'd be every bit as good as the Red Wings. Just my 2 cents.

All except Hudler's call in the OT period should not have been called, including the one on Sykora. They were letting alot go all night, and why they suddenly decided to start calling stuff was retarded, especially with so much on the line. It's unfortunate that we had to take a penalty like that and lose on it. I really hope the wings can regroup from this. This is major adversity.

Fleury came up with big ass saves last night for his team. We had 55 shots on goal or whatever, but that was over 6 periods of play. Still quite a few, but not a HUGE amount for 6 periods for the wings. I'm more nauseated by their constant barage of Crosby Crosby Crosby.

Well, it was hard to fall asleep last night. I was all worked up, major anxiety going on. I woke up anxious as well. For the first time in this series, I'm pretty worried. If the wings bounce back and win one in Pitt to win the cup, I will be absolutely shocked. And then it's back here for game 7 where anything can happen. We could have just had the cup snatched from our hands just like that. I'm particularly nervous about a game 7 because apparently the Red Wings play very nervous in front of their home crowd. This isn't the first time we've seen them play nervous. They were like that in game 5 up 3-1 against Dallas. Yes, we did go back there to win, but this isn't exactly the same situation. There's much more on the line. I hope we can find it to get our spirits back up and put this away in game 6. I don't really want to see a game 7.

Unbelievable...

They controlled more play in that period than we did, at least it was even. The wings look like they're getting tired. The Pens are defniitely looking more energetic (albeit just a bit more). I am worried we're going to get caught out there tired and cough up a goal. we don't have the energy to get some offense going until that power play. The refs still owe us a power play. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the call on Sekora was absolute BS the way they been calling this agme. All 3 penalties were BS. They should be letting everythign shy of an absolute mugging or automatic penalty go.

Does anyone else notice that the wings are getting slower and slower, or is it just me? Seroiusly...it's worrying me now.

I cannot stop shaking, and I wasn't this nervous at the start of the first OT. The longer this goes on, the more nervous I'm getting. I hope the young legs of the Pens don't start taking over. It kind of looked like it in that period.

In a game where they're letting the boys play (which I'm for), they can't call that interference penalty. Come on... This game is just sick. I really want us to win, but you have to give the Pens props for coming into the Joe and not laying down. That OT had to be the most exciting period of play since last year in the 3rd period in Anaheim in game 6.

Dont' even blame Ozzie on that one...nobody was there to clear the rebound. Give me a break. It was 6 on 5.

Guys, this is an unbelivable game. If we keep playing with that intensity, we'll win the game in OT. I am so looking forward to this OT. Yes I hope we win, but even if we don't, what a great game thus far. COME ON GUYS! I'm picking Franzen for the game winner tonight.

This game is being set up for a great comeback and a cup win. I can feel it...those that paid 1000 bucks a ticket won't be disappointed.

I took off my red wing jersey. I had a chelios red jersey on to start the playoffs, and took it off after we lost game 4 to Nashville, and haven't worn it since. I put it back on today only to go down 2-0. I took it off after the first period. COME ON GUYS!

Thta period started off absolutely horrible, and what a save by Fleury, you gotta give him credit on that. Sammy needed to lift that puck. We'll tie it up guys, I can feel it.

The wings spent alot of time chasing the puck in that period. I think they were just nervous. They don't suck, lol. I think we'll make it a game in the 2nd. I'm not too worried yet.

The wings are nervous. I have to admit, I'm totally shocked right now. I think they feel the same. They look really nervous. I think Babcock will settle them down in the intermission.

I live in Woodhaven (Downriver) and what I've done the past 3 times they won the cup is went driving around honking my horn. People have done that every cup win, on all the busy streets. In 97 and 98 the streets were pandamonium. I wonder if it will be that nuts tonight, seeing as it doesn't seem there's as much enthusiasm. Saturday and Sunday morning sports talk this past weekend was more about the Pistons losing than the red wings on the verge of winning their 4th cup in 11 years.

I'll be shocked if Pens score 1 goal. Wings will be tired of scoring goals by the end of this game. 5-0, it being 5-0 before the 3rd period. Go WINGS! LETS WIN IT FOR THE FANS AT HOME! This crowd should be absolutely stoked tonight.
