If he starts getting back to the form he was in in rounds 1 and 2 (as it appears he is), Pitt is in big trouble. He adds another full dimension to the already too dangerous offense.

This comment caught my attention: "You have to give them credit," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "They found a way to win a game." Now I might be psychoanalyzing it a bit too much, but to me the way he said it and the way it sounded, he totally believes the wings are in 100% control of this series no matter what. It's like you playing your little brother 100 times at NHL 94 on SNES. He's going to beat you once every 50 games, and you say "nice job dude, you won one". lol

I'm not worried. The wings came out and controlled the game much like they had in the previous 2 games for about the first 15 minutes of the first period. The wings looked as if they were like "yeah, we're up 2-0 and these guys suck, we can just mosy on through this game and we'll win". I think a loss like that will do wonders for Detroit. I would not be surprised if Detroit shuts out Pitt in game 4, and wins the cup in game 5 (I want them to win it in front of the home crowd anyways, so I am not that upset about this loss). You know, it may sound arrogant a bit, but the pens are only going to get away with what the Wings permit them to. The wings are clearly the better team and are clearly the dominant team in this series when they want to be. It's not often you can say that about a team, that they can dictate to everyone else how the game will go, but in this case it's true. Pitt gave their best effort and still had to hang on for dear life.

It's the same thing with USC's QB John David BOoty. They can't say it enough. Nauseating.

I'm not that worried guys. The pens have nothing for Detroit. That was a BS goal, shoulda probably been stopped but I'm not going to get on Ozzie's case about it. It was an even worse turnover by Stuart. That's two turnovers by Stuart, one of which he was able to prevent Crosby from breaking away on. The wings will tie it up in the 2nd...

I dont know what he's talking about either when he mentions all of this obstruction. The wings are skating circles around everyone.

If the wings pitch a 3rd shutout in a row, I'm literally going to dubb this team the best EVER team in the history of the NHL playoffs. lol I say wings win 3-2. It will depend how poised the wings come out. I would think that there will be pressure on Pitt tonight in front of their home crowd. If the wings score a goal early, it's over.

Our pens fans will be back if the Wings lose tonight. They'll be like "i told you so, all the wings did was hold serve, blah blah blah..."

Does anyone have a link where I can watch the entire post game conference? I'd appreciate it. I was just READING terrians comments and they were pretty pathetic. It's sad that the coach is crying about everyhting. But that's ok. Let that team cry and whine right out of the playoffs... If they don't want to see Osgood fall down, then dont' go near him. You know, I know the wings played dominant hockey in 97, 98, and 02, but I really do not remember them being quite this dominant at all. They were dominant, but they weren't holding teams to virtually 0 shots on goal in periods. I mean it's crazy. It's just unbelivable and so special to witness.

The wings started slacking a little bit in that period. That's the only reason the Pens were getting more chances. It was evident when Crosby skated almost right to the net untouched toward the end of the 2nd period. I'm sure Babcock is laying into his team right now, honestly.

I'm on the HF Boars as Wingsfan734 trying to talk civily over there and they dont' like me. I was asking what they thought the Pens could do to get something going and they told me to go away. Frustrating for them, so I understand. Not trying to start a war or troll...but when they give answers like "get shots on goal" or "wake up crosby and Malkin", that means nothing. Those players are trying, they're just being manhandled by the smothering defense. It is truly special that the Wings gave up 0 shots on goal when at even strength. Unbelievable.

Yeah, the Pens clearly cannot handle Detroit 5 on 5. I wonder if there's any discussions in the Pens locker room like "holy s*** they're good, we can't handle them" hehe.

So the question is, do we mess with the lineup to get him back in? I will say, for Franzen, yes. I think you need to get him back in there. It makes the opponent hvae to worry about another big scorer. It should add a jolt to the team as well to get him back. He's been too big a piece of the puzzle this year to let him sit out. Chelios on the other hand, I think with the speed of this series, it may be in the interest of the Wings for Chelios to sit out. I hate saying that as I love to see him in there playing. he's an inspiration.

Remember back in 1997 or 1998 when the WWE held a big event in Detroit and the entire crowd was chanting "Lets Go Red Wings"? It was pandamonium around here...

I know what you said, so if you can buy that, why can't you buy that blocking vision is interference as well? I guess my point is I don't even know how you can buy that it's even possible someome could think that's a legit call, unless they just don't know the rules. My argument is the heart of it. I do not believe it was interference at all. I'm not disputing the stick was there, but that didn't interfere with the save attempt whatsoever. No goalie is going to stop a shot in the corner anyways...
