If Babs said something to offend O Hallerin (like last time he made a bad call) then it's only human nature to have that on your mind when you are refereeing a game with that team in it. Maybe it pissed him off, maybe he didn't and he just sucks or doesn't know the rules...

If you can buy that as legit interference then you can also buy that standing in front of the goalie and blocking his view is interfering with his ability to make a save, right? Where do you draw the line? Come on, it's Fn hockey for crying out loud. That call looked like a chincey foul call in basketball...lol.

He's been a beast, but I think without Lidstrom, the defense would fall apart a bit. You can't replace Lidstrom because of his poise, leadership, and solid defense (often you don't even know he's out there he's so perfect). Kronwall has been a very important piece to the puzzle this year. I love it when he steps into people, and he does it without taking penalties.

1. First, they tried being overly physical (Nashville) 2. Next, they tried throwing high powered offense at us (Colorado) 3. They even tried physical + high powered offense + speed + solid defense (Dallas) The common denominator in all 4 series so far is that nobody can figure out how to keep the puck away from Detroit. You saw it in games 4 and 5 against Dallas. Dallas controlled more play than the Wings (I think because the wings just had bad games honestly) and they beat Detroit. It may sound cocky of me to say this (and I'm really not trying to), but until I see a team manhandle Detroit, I'm not going to believe anyone in the league is on the same level as Detroit is right now. THe wings have been doing this all year long and nobody has solved them. I do believe that the Wings really control their destiny. If they decide to play like last night, there isn't anything anybody can do about it. Pitt's game isn't good enough to beat Detroit's game this year. Simple as that. In fact, nobody's is.

I just watched that goalie interference clip, it's my first time seeing it since real time yesterday. If you seriously look at holmstrom's stick, it doesn't do anything to prevent FLuery from making th\e save. Does it touch his pad? Yes. Does it actually interfere with a save? No way. Not even close. And I"d be saying that same thing if this were the other way around. I agree with the others that say this should be reviewable. I agree 100%.

You can watch the link that was just posted, but he was essentially saying his defense's goal is to be the worst defensive in the league and they don't care, and they should only take 30% of their salary because they're only trying for some of the game...stuff like that. LOL Good God. EDIT: Oh and he also said he never seen so many soft defensemen, and he is very disappointed because they don't care, and it looks like men against boys (i actually agree on the last comment lol).

The Pens are what, 12-2 (now 12-3 in the playoffs and he's talking as if the Pens have lost 6 straight. I disagree with MT's comments. Not the right way to get on his team.

Wow, MT said some pretty ruthless things. Too bad it really doesn't matter what his team does. Those comments he made could destroy his team's chemstry as much as it could motivate them...wow.

Uh oh pens, ran into a good team finally this playoff season eh? I'm not going to get ahead of myself here, but if the Wings decide to play like that the rest of the series, there's nothing the Pens can do about it. Let's hope the refs call it fair the rest of the series...

That was a completely dominant performance by Detroit, just what most of us thought. The wings had the puck most of the game and look what happened? Nothing any of the Pens could do about it. Go figure. I think it's a blessing in disguise that the Wings had to deal with that non goal in the Dallas Series. The Wings didn't seem phased at all this time... Go wings baby...go wings...

It depends if you think the refs are trying to do what they can to allow Pitt to win the game. If you think the refs are going to help Pitt win the cup, then yes it would have been made no matter who was there.

That's what he was saying/ That's great. Unbelievable. I will say this, 5 on 5 Detroit is totally in control of the game. It's a beautiful thing. That's the difference that Pitt hasn't ever seen yet. I think if that keeps up, Detroit should be alright.

Alright, I didn't want to believe others when they were saying it, but I officially will go on record as to say that the Wings are never going to get any breaks from the refs in this series, and I think the league officially wants Crosby to win the cup and will allow for all the calls to go their way. Fn ridiculous. The stick had nothing to do with that puck going in or not going in...

Given the fact that the Penguins have played nothing but crap teams in the playoffs so far, I'll reserve my judgment until after game 1 that they're one of the two best teams in the league. I have a feeling the Pens are going to get their bells rung in game 1. We'll see how well the Pens play without the puck, because they're not going to have it too much.

Gee I guess I'd be smiling after losing to a team over and over again and trying my best to pull my team through, especially after getting the win in their building! Come on guys. I can't blame Turco for not smiling, and I'm sure he just told Ozzie nice job and to go get that cup.

I don't think Turco was good at all in even his wins. Yes he made 'some' big saves, but every goalie makes 'some' big saves, unless you're Patrick Roy in game 7 against the Wings . The games that Dallas won, the wings were not getting to the 2nd scoring opportunities and got away from going to the net. The wings made Turco look terrible yesterday in my opinion. Zetterburg faked Turco out of his jock strap on that breakaway goal yesterday. I have a lot of respect for Dallas, it's just too bad they showed up way too late in the series. I was nervous even with a 3 goal lead until 3 minutes were left in the game.

I think if we continue to play a heavy puck possession game, we'll keep their big lines off the board much like we did with the Avs and Stars for most of those series. If you don't have the puck, you can't score goals.

I am nervous as hell for this game. Not so much because they're a great opponent, but I guess because anything can happen. They've had some big breaks the last couple games, but we had plenty of our own for 9 straight games.

The last couple of games, the Stars have had the puck way too much. I think the wings need to take back full control. They've let it get away a bit.

This is either going to be the wings winning 4-1, or a 3-2 long overtime game, not sure who wins. Goodness gracious I have to tear myself away from the hoopla a bit. I'm pretty nervous.

I think you have to stick with Ozzie. The lsat thing we need to do is make a drastic change like that and feed Dallas more confidence.
