Yeah I thought that suggestion by Milbury was absolutely retarded. How does anyone expect the NHL to return to a decent status with knobs for commentators on TV?

Yeah the wings were not getting any rebound opportunities or causing comotion in front of Turco. I don't think Turco is in their heads at all. The wings have owned Turco his entire career. One or two games isn't going to change their mindset much. The wings were simply outhustled today. They got away from going to the net, and were not hitting the net with their one timers and slap shots. At least make the goalie make a save if he's going to. I hate when they get a big scoring opportunity and then shoot it high or wide. That's more annoying than a goalie making a great save.

In Basketball in the last plays of the game, the refs often put the whistles away which can highly impact a close game. But again, throughout a game, the refs in BB don't affect the game as much as hockey refs do, and I agree with you 100%.

Did you hear the commentators talking about how Dallas is just now getting over the 4OT game? LOL that game was 2 weeks ago and they had 4 days off between that game and the start of this series. Give me a break. The simple fact of the matter is Dallas won a game and then they got some confidence, and today the Wings did not match the intensity, and we all know the wings can play better than they did today.

As far as the refereeing goes, I believe in games 3 and 4 it was heavily bias toward Dallas. Today's game, I didn't think so. I thought it was called pretty even, if not even, we got the benefit of the calls. There were a few that the refs didn't call, like that crosscheck on Morrow by Draper that was missed. I can't blame this one on the Refs. You have to give Dallas props for not folding and stealing one from the Joe. Do I think they can do that again in a game 7? I don't know. If this goes to game 7, the wings would likely be even more nervous than they were today, so yes it could happen again. I honestly think the Wings will be calmer without the pressure of the home crowd to win in game 6.

Anyways, for some constructive criticism: The wings looked off today in terms of their passing. they were taking the extra second to make plays which allowed Dallas to swarm them. This was like role reversal from a few games ago. The wings were dominating the same way Dallas did today. I think Detroit will be special in Dallas on Monday. Detroit has gone into their opponents' buildings in the past and eliminated them.

If we don't win game 6, we're not winning game 7. This is ridiculous.

Well, I'm worried. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. But I think the wings will come out dominant.

Dallas got every break imaginable in games 3 and 4. The power plays were 6 for Dallas, 2 for Detroit until 45 seconds remaining when the refs attempted to balance it out by calling 2 penalities on Dallas in the final minute. It was the same crap in Game 4. The wings are going to kill Dallas on Saturday, for Ozzy's first shutout of the playoffs.

1. That non-goal hurt the wings mentally in the game, and motivated Dallas. 2. The non-goal happened at 0-0 score so you can't simply say "well the wings lost because of that", even though I understand had that goal counted, it would have been DEVASTATING for Dallas. 3. We had 2 goals taken away, not just 1. 4. Anyone else notice how overly happy Dallas was at the end of the game? It was almost like they were just trying to get one proud win for themselves before knowing they were coming to Detroit to get knocked out. It seemed they were 'a bit too happy' for having been down 3-1 in a series. Just my opinion. Game 5, wings win 5-0. I believe this loss will be better for the Wings in the long run. I'd rather they lose now than lose in their first game in the playoffs or something. I mean think about it, they were due to lose. To have kept the streak going means they'd have had to go 12-0 (win both games at home) before it being 'ok' to lose a playoff game. I'll take the loss now over risking something happening in the next round. It'll be good for the Wings.

Yeah, should be OT right now. Oh well. Wings will beat their ass in game 5 I'm sure.

I do not think the Pens have been tested yet like Detroit has (and Detroit is making teams look bad, it's not that the teams aren't good). I think the East is a whole grade below the West, and for that reason, I'm not TOO concerned about the Pens. But the Pens do concern me the most of any other Eastern Team. It's no disrespect. The Pens/Wings would be the best matchup that the NHL could hope for this year. The wings last night in the 3rd period gave me flashbacks to all the cup runs, the heavy puck support, relentless pressure on the puck, making opponent's rushes look foolish with takeaways and quick transitions...

All I'm gonna say is I'm thoroughly impressed with this team, even more if that's possible. I totally didn't expect them to come in and win this game. Wow. 9-0 with Ozzy in net.

The wings were matching Dallas if not outdoing them toward the end of the period. I was impressed. They really need to make sure they play sound defensively this period and not give up anything. IF the wings get another goal, it'll be a back breaker.

If I'm Dallas, I have to be thinking how in the hell I'm going to win a game? I mean, clearly they have come with their best effort tonight in this series, and they are down 2-1. I'm not particularly happy with the way the Wings played that entire period, but I'm ecstatic that they got to the locker room with the lead and a chance to talk about it.

It could even be just a pinched nerve. A nyone have an update?

I hate to say it but I will be very surprised if we win tonight. Dallas wins 4-2.

I didn't expect dirty play from Dallas at all. I'm kind of disappointed in them for that. What a shame.

Ribeiro skated by at the end and the butt end of ozzy's stick nicked him, so ribeiro came back and slashed Ozzy across the chest deliberately...Draper tackled him from behind.

If Ribeiro doesn't get suspended, Mc Carty is beating someone's ass...

I thought I was the only one that was thinking this with his rant about Turco keeping them in the game, and how Dallas is losing it for themselves...nothing about the Wings actually having a say in it lol.
