Tonight marks the official start of when I blow off work and stay up late, drag my ass into work every morning tired as all hell, because i want to watch all the playoff hockey I can. Who else does this? I'm excited to watch the games at 7 and 10pm tonight...can't wait. I sure with the wings were playing tonight, damnit. I'm so pumped.

If we have a problem beating this banged up Nashville team, then we don't deserve to play in the 2nd round, simple as that. Rest Maltby and Stuart, the Wings should be able to win in 5 regardless if they have those players in or not. Let's hope the wings make it out of this first round without any further damage. I was impressed with Abdelkader's play yesterday. He looked like he fit right in, and ALMOST had a goal. When Babs put that line out there with less than 2 minutes to go, I was a little nervous, but they did a great job.

I think this is where many fair-weather fans would say "no" but you wouldn't tell that with their responses. Everyone suddenly loves Franzen because he's on a roll. I mean, it's funny to sit back and read the responses. What's goign to happen when Franzen comes out of this hot streak and doesn't have a point for the first round in the playoffs (God Forbid)? I don't think the OT goal was soft. Come on, the guy was wide open and left alone to stop a hard pass, settle it down, and shoot it. I mean my God. Why was he that wide open right in front of the net? All Ozzie could do was slide over there and try to take up as much space in the net as his little body could. Lay off Ozzie...sheesh. 3 of those 4 goals were deflected... How would you guys rate D-Mac's return?

I think I'd rather play the Avs in round 1. I think there's enough respect for the Avs that the wings won't come out in a slump like they do EVERY SINGLE YEAR IN THE FIRST ROUND. Nashville is good enough to beat you if you fall asleep on them, which is easy to do. I definitely think the Preds will beat up whomever they play against, which definitely sucks. I just can't wait to see the Dallas/Anaheim series. That should be good, although I have zero faith in Turco. We'll run into SJ at some point this year...

The preds are the biggest bunch of ******* in the league. They'll run away from Downey but they'll go after Zetterberg? Give me a break. F em up Downey. I hope Downey gets the first shift in the 3rd and fights TooToo...

It really scares me that if we have just a couple players out of the lineup, this team goes from the best to VERY average...boy I hope we don't have injuries in the playoffs. If not for Zetterberg, we probably woulda been shut out last night. That's scary.

While I really am not that bothered that we lost, did Nashville really look that desperate today? I mean if you think that's Nashville's best, then I'm not worried in the slightest once the playoffs get here if we had to play them. But I don't think that was the best of either team's efforts. The wings didn't look good from the start. But who would really want to watch the preds play anyways? I almost fell asleep during the game today.

Yeah let's remember 2 weeks ago for a straight month we couldn't score a damn goal. I know we aer getting healthy, but still. Let's just chill out and continue to enjoy the ride...

I think this is a good measuring stick to see where the redwings are at. This should be a great game. 3-2 wings.
