I loved that RW speech video, thanks for that. Absolutely awesome...lol. Ooops .

I think Babs is going ot have no choice but to bring back Lebda, even if he was planning to hold him off till Round 3. Anbybody have an update on Kronwall? We could use him right about now.
-
reminds of you Dino Cicarelli except with size doesn't he? lol
-
I agree, i think he's earning his spot on this team as a regular for next year. He's been solid. Needs to learn how to shoot though lol.
-
Think about the fact taht Detroit has only scored teh first goal once in this series...lol.

I was just checking out some sharks forums. Laughable. Before the game they were just saying that they were the best team in the league. Now one guy said that the team is one dimensional in Joe Thornton. LOL. No such team exists where they are one dimensional and also the best team in the league. Idiots. I don't think they know hockey over there. Anyways, great game. I figured the wings were due to explode offensively. The sharks might be beaten mentally now. We'll see. It could still easily go to 7 games, but I would not be worried if that happens. The bounces are finally evening out in this series. In my opinion, half the goals that San jose has scored in this series have been because of lucky bounces. Now detroit is getting some, with the puck comnig right to Zetterberg on the first goal and Nabby making a bad play to Dats on the second goal. Things are turning in favor of Detroit now. Let's step on their throat now boys. No need for 7 games. Let's earn a few days rest. Wow what a game.

The commentators on NBC had it right about Bert though, even though he's playing well, he needs to crash the net. The wings were looking too cutesy out there. I'm sure they're getting hammered about that.
-
We have the sharks where we want them guys. Do'nt worry, we'll play harder in the second.
-
As weird as it sounds, I tend to agree with Babs. Why change the lineup when you have momentum coming home for game 5? Just leave it alone. Besides, I think the fact that Holmstrom is back is the thing that is going to push Detroit over the edge in this series. The sharks haven't had to deal with Holmstrom and now that they do, it just adds all kinds of problems for SJ.

Any chance someone could fire a puck at Thornton's face? just kidding . I'd rather the wings beat a SJ team at the top of their game with few injuries than beat them because their key players are out.

http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...ORTS05/70503003 I don't know about that one. He did everything but name names. I mean, he blasted his team pretty good there. I don't think Babcock would take it to that extent. Do you think that this will have a positive impact on his team or a negative impact? I could see it going both ways. Either it could motivate Guerin and Marleau to play harder, or it could destroy chemistry and the Sharks could start to implode. Two 2-0 leads blown in this series, one on home turf as well. Thoughts?

I think game 5 could be an epic game honestly. The balance of power could shift from SJ to Detroit in this series, FINALLY. I'm still waiting for Hasek to pull out a shutout. He's due.
-
I think we'll find out in game 5 what affect it had on SJ players.
-
While I think yesterday the sharks blew it a few times, they also got a lucky 2nd goal too. So, I mean, yesterday was alot about bounces in my opinion. It's obvious that both teams are so great. I'm amazed SJ finished 5th honestly.
-
It's funny because alot of times wings fans do the same, it's not the other team that beat us, we just lost it for ourselves. Not that I'm agreeing or disagreeing with you, but just making a statement.
-
I was reading how Ron Wilson called out his team. Do you guys think that was the right way to go about it? I think that could either motivate, or destroy chemistry in the locker room. Personally I hope for the latter, but you never know.

I'm going to have to admit this and take my hits. I went to bed after they were down 2-0 last night. I figured, well, I had to get up at 5am, and there is no way in hell SJ is going to blow another 2-0 lead, especially in their own building, and well, why bother staying up late and being dead tired the next morning? So, i shut it off and went to bed. My sister was on her way home last night and called me just after the 2nd period ended. She goes "hey i was listening to the wings on the radio and they just scored". I said "uh huh". She said, "aren't you watching?" I said "no, there's no way they're going to win this game and I'm tired". So i went to bed, then woke up at 5am for work today and she was still up lol. She goes "Dave, they won last night!" I said "huh?" She goes "yeah they won in OT". I started jumping up and down like a little kid. So, ill take my beatings. I lost faith. All I can say is, it'll be so much easier to deal with these days until Saturday being at 2-2 instead of down 3-1. Whew! I taped the game also so this morning i rewinded it to see the goals. So cool, both late goals to tie it up and then the OT. AWESOME! So now I think the wings are going to win this series. I think they should come home and hopefully light up Nabokov in game 5.

I think we're all just holding our breath right now. We all know this is do or die tonight, might as well just come out and say it. Yes they won't be eliminated technically, but come on.

A few issues with alot said there. 1. Where is he getting the idea that the refs are doing a terrific job? Even if you lump them all together, as a whole, they all suck. It's like they don't really understand the rules and what to look for. I mean my God. It's not rocket science. 2. Versus sucks. ESPN was way better. He's making it sound like Versus' coverage is so much better than ESPN ever was. I disagree with that. 3. The lack of physicality? I don't remember people saying there was a lack of physicality, people said it was a lack of fighting in the league now, WHICH IS TRUE. I still think if you had more fighting, people wouldn't take such liberties with the star players. I also think you take away some pads and you get less whacking and hacking going on. But they'll never do that. Like with any corporation, once they put a Safety measure in place no matter how stupid it is, it's there to stay. 4. 60% are happy with the schedule? Even if that's true, you still have nearly half of people who aren't which is significant enough to do something about. I still think they need to work on getting a 75% approval there. But, i'd love to see who the hell they are polling. It must be east coast teams. I bet if they polled all west coast fans they'd get more like 75% are unhappy. 5. Game on the ice is strong? I am not one of the fans of the new CBA. I don't like making all the teams mediocre. Yeah when your best team is mediocre compared to what some teams were 5 years ago, it's goign to look strong. But fans who knew the old system (unless they were fans of terrible teams) know what I'm saying about the difference. I don't like the idea of all teams being equal or close. 6. LOL People tell him how much they're enjoying the game? Yah right, and every woman i walk by tells me I'm the hottest guy on the planet.

I hope we win tonight because otherwise it's going to be a long, long layoff until the next game on SATURDAY. We need to tie this thing up so we can kinda relax for a few days lol.
-
Ugh I'm so tired this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I think the wings quit skating 30 minutes in. You could see it. I don't get it. We are in the 2nd round against a very good team and the wings decide to slack? The 3rd period looked like a 20 minute power play for SJ. Unbelievable. We lost because we quit skating, simple as that.
-
The wings played about 30 minutes of hockey tonight. Half way through the 2nd they started slowing down.
-
Refs let tons of crap go and called penalties at weird times...looked liek they just wanted to even up the opportunities for both sides. I don't get what the hell was up with the wings. I'd like, to see how many turnovers they had in their own zone. How are they dominating SJ then suddenly get dominated the entire 3rd period? That is ridiculous.
-
Detroit has survived because they have been able to avoid heavy pressure in their own zone. You can see how much trouble they have knocking SJ off the puck once they got it cycling down low. I was so pissed when the wings gave that goal up. SJ musta had possession in their zone for a good 45 seconds there it seemed. ugh. At least the wings started skating fast again after they went to sleep early on in the 2nd. The wings need to steal a game there, badly. This game has OT written all over it. Definitely the most exciting game of this series. But I think SJ is getting away with MURDER on the ice. Interfering, cross checks, etc. They're letting it all go.
-
I don't want them ever to take 5 on 5 out of playoff overtime hockey. It's sudden death damnit! I'd also like to possibly see continuous OT in regulartion maybe after the trade deadline so that teams aren't screwed out of a playoff spot due to a shootout (like this year).
