I am waiting for someone to tell me I'm at the wrong game LOL. I'm going to the Tigers game in my wings jersey with a wings cap on. LOL. I love it baby. 1/5 the price to go to the Tigers and i'm 8 rows from the dugout. I'm bringing a headset to listen to the game once it starts. I hope all 3 of my teams win tonight! I will be at the Tiger's game with my sister today. If any of you peeps are there come swing by and say hi. I'll be in section 137 row 8 wearing the chelios jersey and maybe a huge thing of nachos in my hand! I'll be bringing headphones to listen to the wings after 3. Hopefully I can make it back in time to catch the last period. I hope they play solid again today, and go 100% on the PK! Seems the only way teams can beat us is with the PP this year when in past years the PK has been solid. We'd probably be 5-0 in the playoffs if our PK was excellent as Calgary only survived because of that.

Nabby is a solid goalie but he was not tested at all last night. Most of his saves were from the side perimeter when they'd get through on occasion. He hasn't had to stand on his head yet. I thought SJ's defense was very good as well. Maybe we should throw the 3rd or 4th line out on the PP to see what happens.

It's funny cause he wasn't a dick in the chat but I guess after the win he can talk smack lol. My take: I don't think the wings played all that badly. I mean, if not for giving up the PP goal it's probably 0-0 and we're in OT right now. The sharks block shots well and stay in the center of the ice. They did a good job of keeping Detroit away from Nabokov all night. We had the puck in their end most of the night. I don't know how many more games the wings can only take 1 penalty. I mean my God. So far they are 0% no the PP and 0% on the PK lol. That obviously needs the improvement, but 5 on 5, they didn't play THAT bad really. They better be able to find a way to get more traffic or somethin otherwise this series will be very short. The sharks can hang talentwise, physical-wise, and defense-wise. Detroit's going to have to beat them with skill and that's the bottom line. Hopefully we get breaks next game. Gonna be a tough team to beat.

I had WOW as well until they pissed me off. I went to Comcast Digital Plus package which costs me like 4 or 5 bucks more than I was paying WOW. The package offers phone, high speed cable internet, and digital cable with HD channels for 117 bucks (woulda been cheaper but i wanted the high def channels). I was payin 113 with WOW for all 3. Same same really. Just an FYI. Get it switched immediately LOL. I dont know if they are still offering the deal or not. It was also guarenteed till 2008, at which time ill call up screaming and get a better deal .

I am looking forward to a hard hitting, tough series. Let's see if the wings outstanding record at home can pay off. If we can manage to get a 2-0 lead in this series going back to SJ, then I like our chances alot better there to steal a game than i did in Calgary since I don't think the wings fear playing away in SJ as much as they feared playing in Calgary. We'll see though how this plays out. And you know what, if we lose, then at least we will lose to an excellent team that would truly be worthy to move on in the playoffs, unlike Calgary. This would be a much easier pill to swallow. That being said, i think this series will be outstanding and I can't wait for it to begin.

Yeah i agree here. I hope there are no cheap shots in this series and it's fast, tough hockey that we'll all enjoy. Welcome SJ.

Well I guess it depends on how you are judging the refs. According to how the NHL was planning to call the playoffs, the refs did a terrible job. They let tons of things go. They didn't do the job that the NHL had set out for refs to do in the playoffs. That being said, and all things considered, I think, in my opinion, it was the best officiated game in the series that's for sure. It was pretty even. If they let things go on one side, they let the same things go on the other, pretty consistently. I thought some of the calls were phantom calls as well but they didn't have a big affect on the game...from a Detroit perspective. Since the flames were living on the power play they could argue exactly the opposite.

I think one could argue fairly well that Hasek stole the game for Detroit yesterday. He was phenominal.

I kind of would rather play Dallas because we have owned them the last few years...and I think Detroit matches up well. Plus it'd be nice to see SJ and Ana go at each other. On the other hand, it'd be cool to see Giguere vs Luongo, and guarentee that one of those beasts gets knocked out before the wings would have to play them (hopefully). I still want Dallas though. We'll see if they can complete the comeback.

Langkow was hurt on the play? Did you watch the replays of it? A truly injured player doesn't get taken down, bounce right up to punch someone, and then suddenly act like they can't move by slowly rolling over. Watch it again. Looked like an acting job to me.

Yeah i was reading that board and it is laughable. They all think the wings are getting away with murder. HUH? They're letting things go at times on both sides and calling everything at times on both sides. I still am not sure where they get off saying the wings are trying to injuer flames players lol.

I watched the game on NBC but i had it being taped on CBC. I was not home for the first half of the game. I wanted to show my sis all the crap that happened at the end and oh my God what a bunch of homers the CBC commentators were on just about everythign that happened. I think the one I'm most pissed about is the Langkow deal. I watched that replay about 10 times. He got knocked down, got right up and sucker punched Lebda, then acted like he suddenly got shot, froze up, and fell over. LOL. He clearly did that so the refs wouldn't notice the sucker punch. The League better give out a suspension for that. That was absurd. ANd this talk about the slash being a love tap is ridiculous. I love Don Cherry but that is stupid. There's no way. I don't care, what it if woulda clipped him in the head? Then what? Just thank God it was in his chest area and not a little higher like in the throat area. F'n stupid. That better get a LONG suspension.

Calgary won't be head hunting tomorrow. They will be too busy trying to score a goal to try and stay alive in the series. If they go headhunting they'll just be throwing their season away. The way Detroit can really pay them back is to beat them 5-0 in Calgary. That's like shoving it right down their throats, owning them in their own building.

Yeah i dont get what he was watching if he does'nt think it looked that bad. Has he ever taken a direct punch to the head with an ice hockey glove? it hurts alot more than a bare fist trust me. Yah you know that's kind of why I wish Bert was still in the game at that point.

I just care deeply for my team, and I am not one to hold emotion back so if you don't like it you can shove it. By saying the wings played solid, you're telling me then that Calgary is as good as the wings are aren't you? I mean come on. Calgary is nowhere near the wing's caliber. Yes it's 2-2 but it should have been 4-0. At what point do you guys start getting worried, those of you who are trying to maintain? When Calgary steals a game in Detroit, God forbid? Just for the record, I am not panicking, I'm just royally pissed off. That's all.

What goals are you calling Soft? The only goal i consider 'soft', or that I thought he probably shoulda had, is the goal by Iginla in game 3. The rest he was screened or the puck was deflected. I can't think of any others. He's made excellent saves to keep us in the game. it coulda been 5-2 yesterday.
