You're right, and I'm not going to watch game 5. I made that decision last night. I'm tearing myself away for a game because I care too much and I'm too emotional about it right now. Let's hope Calgary doesn't "prove it to you" that they can win on the road. This will be chance #3. Keep giving them opportunities...that's smart. Eventually they'll steal one. I sure hope not, but i need a game off. Too many disappointments, and it's just not worht caring all season to have it fall apart to piece of s*** teams in the end like this. My God.

Oh give me a break about CALGARY's record. Now I know why calgary's record is so great, their heavily sided referees. The wings had no business losing ANY games there in this series. I'm not going to settle down. This is ridiculous, year after ******* year man. I'm sick of it. I invest too much time and emotion into this s*** and the wings are not holding up their end of the deal. It ain't like we drew a top team in the first round. This is a banged up, terrible opponent. COME ON. We better hope that Calgary doesn't put a good road game together. I don't knwo why people think they won't. With all the momentum in their favor, I have a feeling they're going to come out hard in game 5 and if they end up stealing that, then what are you going to say next? I've had it with this team. GET YOUR s*** TOGETHER.

HASEK IS NOT THE DAMN PROBLEM. What is wrong with you people? It was 3-2, not 6-2. Kip allowed 1 less goal and he didn't have to deal with a 5 on 3, give me a break. The wings don't go down and block shots and they need to do that. I wish they'd do that like Calgary does. The 97, 98, and 02 teams DID BLOCK SHOTS. They didn't do it standing up either, they went DOWN and took away shots. Man I'm pissed.
-
I AM ******* PISSED! Why don't our guys go down to block shots like Calgary does? Why don't we go the extra mile like that instead of standing there and letting pucks deflect off our stick or top of our skate? WTF man? Until we are willing, including Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Holmstrom, Lilja, Lebda, until EVERYONE is willing to put that kind of effort into trying to win a game, we are not going anywhere in the playoffs. I"M PISSED! COME ON f***IN RED WINGS. I don't watch every game throughout the year only to have to watch this f***in s*** in the post season. If the wings were losing to the better team then that's one thing, but Calgary is a banged up piece of s*** team and we can't beat them. And don't even get me started about the refs. Even though they have sucked ass, they haven't been bad enough that Detroit couldn't overcome it. If we can't face a little adversity in a Calgary building like that, then gimme a break, we shoulda not even been in the playoffs.

Has Kip ever allowed 5 goals in 1 game? -

This game is a toss-up. It will sure be alot better on my heart/nerves if we can just go up 3-1 and then likely close it out Saturday. If this series ends up 2-2 i'm going to be a basketcase. -
Lang is useless. He fit in the old style but not the new NHL style. Get him out of there...my God.
-
He may have had his head up more because someone on Calgary hit him hard and elbowed him into the glass..remember that? No call. That was called in games 1 and 2.
-
1. Yeah we had no shots on the PP, which means our PP wasn't firing well. 2. The fans WERE out of it for alot of the 2nd period...at least that's what it sounded like to me. 3. That's the flame's first even strength goal of the series...1 in 3 games... 4. Lots of iffy penalties NOT called on Calgary, not because of discipline, but more of the fact that the refs let them go...not sure if it woulda mattered anyways seeing as our special teams sucked. 5. Yes they were good 6. We know they play well...but they didn't outplay detroit too much even at their best. I do'nt blame the refs for the loss, but it was pretty 1-sided, even though the number of chances were FAIRLY close. They let alot of things go that Calgary was called for in games 1 and 2...like Stuart cross checking the hell out of Holmstrom in front of the net when the puck was on the boards somewhere. I think calgary was more disciplined tonight, but I think Detroit was just off all night...either that or Calgary's play did that great of a job at keeping everyone off their game. I mean, Datsyuk looked onexistant out there. Something's gonna have to change up in my opinion.
-
I'm glad someone said something about it. I dont' want to come off whining about the refereeing and blaming that on why we lost...because our PP killing sucks lately. But come on. Are you telling me that Calgary played a perfectly clean game from like 6 minutes remaining in the first until half way through the 3rd? They were calling it like the old style hockey games in my opinion...but then on occasion would pull the whistle out and they all went against the Wings. I'd be saying the same had this happened to Calgary. I don't think they did their job...the refs that is. I didn't even realize Datsyuk was playing for most of the game. Either he was not on his game, or Calgary did a great job of shadowing him. Same goes for alot of the team though. I'm very very concerned for Game 4 now. I knew this was going to happen...too good to be true to go up 3-0.

I was thinking the same thing when he took his sweet time there. GOD! Bench him!
-
Oh man i almsot nailed my head on the 8 foot ceiling in my family room after that goal...WOW>
-
Can you guys sense the crowd's nervousness?
-
Man I'm so anxious, heart is pounding since this game started...got the sweat goin...and all I'm doing is watching the game lol. One more goal could send the Flames into a tailspin. I was kinda hoping we could get the 2-1 lead going into the third period.
-
Lets see if Detroit can take this game over now...they started buzzing just before Marcov's penalty...
-
YAY BABY SAMMY TAKE NOTES~!!!!!
-
And I do'nt know what Mc Creary saw but that looked like a good play by Fil. He had his stick on Calgary player's stick...when's that a hook?
-
Well I saw alot of sh*t going on that wasn't called...anyone else see Holmstrom getting cross checked in front of the net like crazy? No call. That was called in Game 1 and 2.

PRE-GAME 3: (4/17) Red Wings @ Flames - 10:00 PM EDT

I'd expect to see Calgary's best game tonight. I hope Detroit continues to play tough and play their game. -
I have several concerns. The first, and most prominent concern, is hoping the referees continue to call the games in the same manner that they have. I hope they don’t allow Calgary to start cross checking and get away with it. If so, we are in trouble in Calgary. My second concern is Calgary’s ‘real game’. We saw 30% of calgary’s best effort in game 1, and maybe 60-70% of their best in game 2 in the second period mainly. I think they’re going to come out with a lot of desperation in game 3. The good news here is that they have not even been able to get to Hasek, even in Game 2. So hopefully Detroit’s defense will continue to dominate, even with Calgary playing hard. Thirdly, the lineup for Detroit. I know that Bertuzzi may be in but do you really want to mess with the lineup? Adding Bertuzzi would be good in a lot of ways, but my fear is that he isn’t up to game speed and ends up hooking/holding people, or cross checking them and causing penalties. Fourth, Kiprusoff. You know Detroit is going to need to get all kinds of pressure to get goals by him. Will Detroit be able to generate that kind of pressure with Calgary flying around like you know they’re going to? I expect Detroit to split, but I’d much rather them take game 3 and lose game 4. It’s a little different when Detroit is up 3-0 then loses a game to make it 3-1 than it is for Detroit to be up 2-1 going into game 4 (more momentum for Calgary in this scenario).
-
I can understand both sides of the argument on whether or not to play Bertuzzi. The thing that scares me is that if we put him in now, he's not going to be up to the speed of the game, and with the refs calling the games tight, that could lead Bert to take bad penalties. That's not what we need right now. On the other hand, he's another guy that's going to crash the net and cause the Calgary defense to collapse more on their goalie to protect Kip. I just don't know. Do you mess with a lineup that is destroying the opponent or do you try to make it better? I just don't know. But all I do know is, if they do put Bert in, they BETTER not sit Hudler. Sit Sammy!

Nice photo. It's now my desktop wallpaper .

You know, people talk about Calgary's awesome home record because they had the most home wins in the league this year. Well, compare the two home records. Calgary is 30-9-2. Detroit is 29-4-8! I mean geez, we won one less game and I think most of those overtime losses were in shootouts, which there aren't any of in the playoffs. We had arguably a better home record. And our away record is awesome as well at 21-15...6 more losses than Calgary lost at home. I don't think there's such a vast difference like some are making it sound. At least, this is what I'm trying to get myself to believe LOL. Until I see how Detroit comes out in Game 3, I am going to be quite nervous. I think this game will be much closer than games 1 and 2. If Detroit blows out Calgary in Calgary, I wouldn't expect much of a game in game 4 from Calgary.
-
I'm not sure I agree but I'm not sure I disagree either LOL.

Sammy or Lang. Both are useless my God. Someoen teach them both what to do with the puck please.
