Yeah I agree, the Flames haven't even goten to Hasek yet, they have had too much trouble getting through our Defense. I'm still quite concerned because we drop Game 3 and this series is all turned around, with a crucial game 4 pending and the momentum in Calgary's side. We need game 3. I hope Bert comes back and protects our guys a litlte more, but honestly, i hope he doesn't take bad penalties. WIth the way they've been calling things, I don't want to see Bert taking cross check penalties or something. I bet the Flames come out trying to outskate us next game, and back off some of the hitting. I think that's the only way they are going to assure themselves from staying away from a nasty start.

There's a whole lot of trying to justify things in your mind going on in there lol. I think the Flames are going to come out with their best efforts in Game 3, and if they win game 3, look out. That's all I have to say. I'm still very nervous about this series.

Calgary looks better after that massive penalty parade in the first 10 minutes. At least they're skating today. I love Detroit's physicalness though. I'd feel better with the 3-0 lead right now though, hopefully it doesn't come back to haunt us.

I fully expect Calgary to be much better and faster in Game 2, but I don't expect the outcome to be much different. I do however, think Calgary will be at the top of their game for games 3 and 4. If detroit wants to try to get this series over fast, they'll need to show no mercy in game 2, then hopefully get one out of games 3 or 4 so it can be ended in 5. That is what I predicted to start with and hopefully this will come to pass. I thinK calgary brought their D game in Game 1. They looked terrible. I'm know they can skate much harder and hit alot more than they did last night.

Yeah zetterberg looks awesome out there. I think Calgary looks like absolute garbage though, their defense is terrible.

I actually think the game looks like it's in slow motion. I expected fast skating but it doesn't seem that way so far. I think the wings are definitely playing good positional hockey. I'm glad we got that good bounce for the second goal. Calgary looks terrible. Go Wings baby!

Yeah both ways the calls are chincy. Give me a break on the last penalty Detroit took. Wasn't even close to a penalty. I wish the refs would learn how to F'n ref.

I'm very nervous about this one. I hope the wings come out flying and not sluggish or on their heels. Expect Calgary to check eveyr chance they get, maybe we'll get lucky and get a power play out of an over zealous Flame. Refs were calling it a little bit tight yesterday I thought. Let's hope Detroit doesn't miss Bertuzzi too much for this one, although I think they will. Maybe we'll get lucky and find out Bert is in the lineup come game time. Prediction: Detroit 2-1, maybe 3-1 with open netter at the end.

I love overtime playoff games. When it's your own team you are on the edge of your seat and a nervous wreck, but watching other teams especially in your conference is a great thrill. And i wouldn't say because Dallas lost that one that they are automatically dead. They will win game 2. What a great game it was I thought. This morning on 1130WDFN they were talking about boring moments in the OT periods. Huh? How is there ever a boring moment in a SD playoff game? Makes no sense. You may have some spots where 'less action' is taking place, but I mean if you blink at the wrong time you could miss a potentially history making goal. They were talking about making it 4 on 4 in the 2nd OT. LOL. I thought it was a stupid comment anyway. I don't care if it takes 10 OT's, it's sudden death and the game should not be changed at all. I love it! GO WINGS BABY...GO WINGS!

Didn't read the previous posts so sorry if it's been said... But it's a shame someone's season ends by shootout. I honestly love the shootout, which it was extended to 5 players per side though instead of 3, but I'd love to see the shootout go until the trade deadline, then all games after that are decided in Sudden Death OT. There's just nothing like SD OT.

Nashville isn't getting out of that one alive. Anyone else and I'd have picked Nashville to win, but not against SJ. I think it's SJ in 6. This playoff is gonna be a ton of fun to watch, my God. All great matchups...that Vancouver/Dallas matchup will be interesting as well.

I'm pretty concerned. Someone said earlier we'd find out how much of an improvement we made about getting dirty and physical and I agree 100% with that. I am very worried though because of their goalie, Kiprosoff. Detroit is going to have to get second chances at him to score. I don't see Kip letting too many first shots in. This should be a nerve-racking series for me. This is about the time I get all stressed out! lol Go Wings baby!
