Wings are looking good now... One more win to really put the clamp on Nashville. Wings 4-1 tonight.

I think this is a must win if they want to pull off a division win. They have 1 game in hand and can't afford to go down 4 points with 5 games left. I know I know, just call me captain obvious. lol This would be a great time to break out the offense and get Bert going. It seems like the staff maybe told him not to get too physical with people yet. He looks like he's holding back, to me at least. Maybe tonight he'll smash tootoo through the glass! Prediction: Wings 4-2.

We'll see when the playoffs get here. He's been outstanding in every regular season since he's been here, and a dud in the playoffs. Why would you think otherwise this year? You hvae no basis to think this playoff will be different. The team has changed a little with Bertuzzi here, and yes it may open up more room for him, in which case you'd think he'd be deadly. I'm just trying to hold back from getting all excited again until we see him score a few goals in the playoffs. But like I said, if he scores 15 assists in round 1 and gets us out of the round alive, I ain't gonna be mad at him.

He's a cute player. People take the body in the playoffs. He's going to need to fire the puck more to score goals and stop dancing aroudn everyone. On occasion it'll work but I mean...people are going to take the body first and puck second in the playoffs. I sure hope he does score some goals but like I said, if he as 15 assists in the first round and zero goals and we get out of the first round, I am not going to whine about it lol.

I still think Dats is going to need to quit doing all those cutsy plays in the playoffs because everyone will take the body with him once the Post Season starts. I don't even care. If he has 30 assists in the playoffs and zero goals, I could care less. I just want him to be a huge reason why we get out of the first round.

I dont want to face calgary in the first round. Honestly I think the best situation for Detroit is to finish 4th and play Dallas in the first round. Detroit owns Turco. Calgary scares me...actually all 8 teams scare me, but Dallas probably the least.

I hear what your saying. Don't forget, before Calder, everybody wanted Lang traded. So...cool, everyone gets on scoring streaks, but I think we owe it to Calder. Maybe anyone would have 12 points in Lang's slot, or more.

Scratch Lang, he's too slow, too many hooking penalties . I can't wait to see Bert in the lineup. I hope the crowd gives him a big welcome.

I am very happy with the move. THat's the guy i wanted out of all 3 big available stars because of his presence. Hopefully he gets healthy enough to make a big impact. The contract was genius.

AND, it seems they got Guerin for a small price, much smaller than I had anticipated.

With all of our competition acquiring awesome talent, we better get someone good out of all of this. If we do nothing else, I will be highly disappointed. San Jose and Nashville are very scary teams right now. We better get someone.

I dont want Jagr either for all reasons mentioned, plus he is just another guy that the opposition will take the body on and negate. We need someone people fear. Bertuzzi comes to mind

I wouldn't mind a player like Bertuzzi coming here. Ok you can let the flaming against me begin 'runs for cover'. Seriously though, we need toughness. I love how Kronwall plays, hopefully he'll stay injury-free. If Lang would start burying those short side shots he likes to do then he'd be worth keeping...but where has the rest of the team gone? Save the 1st line. Thank God for that line or we'd be in big trouble. I'm not even sure I want to see the wings get first place. Where has that gotten many teams anyway? I'd rather they have to fight for it, my thing is they just don't have the type of team that can handle scrappy, hungry, young fast teams. They play good puck possession, but you can beat that with the trap and speed. I don't know, i just want to see them succeed. I hope that they make a good trade. Tkachuk is cursed.

Finally someone i agree with. Even if the wings would have won the game 3-2 tonight in regulation...doesn' t it worry people that all 3 goals came from the same line again? I mean it's nice now, but this ain't going to happen in the playoffs folks. Face it. I don't like hearing the negative about my team either, but face ithe facts. We need more people scoring on a regular basis than 1 line.

Uh...yeah I think they should look at the past few years to judge this year's team. Maybe you don't think so, but you are entitled to your opnion. The wings are no tougher than they were last year, in fact I believe they lost some toughness with the loss of Shanny (even thoguh shanny has been a dud in the playoffs). Everybody is starting to catch on taht if you take the body with Dats and Zetts in the playoffs, that tends to negate them. What makes you think that's ggonna be any different this year? The wings are gonna face a scrappy, hungry team in the first round. What makes you think it's gonna be any different? No I can't predict anything in any kind of certainty. But come on...there's no major changes to the wings this year as opposed to the last couple playoff runs, and that is worrying. I hope they make a trade for someone tough and who can score some goals.

Yeah, I must be watching a different game then. Not relaly just talkng about this game, but most games. Do you seriously think they are tough enough? Look at the last few playoffs. They are NOT tough enough. It's obvious. Cool, CHelios hits a thug, their thugs hit our stars....that's fair.

Watching this game, it is so clear how we need some toughness, maybe a power forward on this team. The wings are getting smacked around like ragdolls and they aren't doing sh*t about it. It's getting annoying to watch this crap over and over every time. The wings also do not show anything different than in the past that they can beat a scrappy team in the 1st round of the playoffs. I hope they make some good trades...the Zetts/Dats/Holmes line can't carry this team.
