If you told me Conklin was going to play in the third Winter Classic before he was a Red Wing and we knew which teams were playing, I'd probably be pissed. Somehow he finds his way in there I guess. Ozzy should be healed up by Jan 1st, or I imagine we would have called someone up. 6-7 games seems like too long to chance not having 2 goalies. It will be interesting to see who gets the nod.

Doesn't help when the first shot he sees is a gift 2 on 0... The second goal was the one he should have had.

No, every defensive breakdown should not result in a goal. But I'm a bit tired of seeing breakout passes come back as 2on0's.

Play JUST ONE ******* GAME without hanging him out to dry on a horrible turnover/defensive lapse/breakdown in the first ten minutes? I don't see how he can build anything when we start every game like that. I hope we do better against SJ.

Ozzy had a great 1st and 2nd, not a good 3rd, but he did good in the SO. Another win that damages his stats... lmao. 12-1-4 I continue to refer to the ridiculously good record. -

Phoenix has scored a couple of good goals, have actually kept up in shots, but Franzen's shorthanded goal really gave us some life and we scored another quick one. Ozzy has been very good with alot of big saves. 3-2. PK. -

Kronwall basically did to Ozzy what Holmstrom does to opposing goalies... He was trying to cover the guy in front but ended up a foot infront of Osgood directly infront of the shot. It may or may not have deflected off him, couldn't see on the replay. -

I'd actually bet that he could do alright, if he's a reasonably good goaltender in the first place and only has to play 5-10 minutes. Probably have a SV% around .750 though.

I'd almost bet Osgood is injured, maybe even just slightly. Why would Babcock make the switch now, after both goalies have been pretty mediocre (Conklin improving, but Ozzy hasn't played) EDIT: Nevermind. The tone of the OP misled me a bit. It's a B2B and Ozzy will start the next day. Can't really take anything from it because it's a given that they're going to split it anyway.
