Goaltending was solid. I think we're all just waiting for that 'great' performance from one of our goalies to steal the game. Hasn't happened in a while.

Conks played well enough to win. I didn't think he was great, but he played much better than the last few games, so hopefully our goaltending is on the upswing. McElhinney played a good game, but I'm going to go ahead and discredit it because every rookie backup plays well against Detroit. Nothing new here.

******* hate how the backup ALWAYS plays against us. We're going to make McElhinney look like an all-star.

It's really... not the equipment. If I remember the story correctly, Hasek was using some old ass used 80's gear (think brown leather) borrowed from the Italian team practicing for the olympics because his current gear got stuck at an airport. I can see how that would cause an injury, because what he was using was missing all the modern features of b'fly pads. Ozzy's new pads are nearly identical to his old ones, and if it was really affecting his game I would hope he would just make the switch.

It's easy for us to give him more time, because we're still winning with him in net. If he doesn't improve, it would be a good idea to look at other options.

It's a combination of both goaltending and D... ...but I said this a month ago and it still holds true. It's not hurting us. Osgood is 11-1-4. Hasn't lost in regulation since opening night. Ozzy has earned 26 of a possible 32 points in the games he's played. If we keep winning with him in net, then why not get him back on his game?

It's obvious to me that Osgood just likes to keep the games close and exciting.
