He must have gotten the surgery before it ruptured. If the appendix ruptures or bursts, they have to make a much larger incision to clean out the infection, and the person is usually on antibiotics via IV for the next week or two at the hospital. Just happened to my mom about a month ago, and she's just now getting back to 100%. Good thing Lilja caught it before it got more serious.

Give it a couple more games...he'll be fine. Wings just need to start playing their game, Ozzy included. 3 out of the 4 goals last night were defensive plays I'd expect to see watching L.A. or Tampa Bay

40+ turnovers in 3 games at home is just not Wings hockey. Ozzy hasn't been amazing, but the large majority of goals have been defensive breakdowns on a level that just doesn't happen when the Wings are playing like the Wings. It's too early to think a goalie switch is going to magically fix our mediocre (so far) defense. Unfortunately, it's going to take the first time the Wings play bad infront of Conklin to crush that theory. Hopefully that doesn't have to happen, the Wings start playing system defense again, and we win 15 straight.

Ugh. I knew it wouldn't last more than a few games without the goalie wars beginning. They scored on a bad bounce, a deflection, a 3 on 1, and then another bad bounce. This game doesn't change with Conklin in net. He's not the goalie saviour because he played 1 game and gave up 1 goal. 13-3 Vancouver in turnovers. That's not Red Wings hockey, and they're not going to win much doing that. They were fortunate to only lose by a couple of bounces.

I bought the $9 tickets for a couple of games already on TicketMaster. They really end up being $15 after the "convenience charge" from there though. ...so how bad are these seats?

Don't players come off the cap for the period in which they're injured/not in the lineup? So even though you have to account for his $1.6m, if he were to get injured I'm pretty sure that would clear up a bit of space for deadline deals/acquisitions. Kind of a gamble, but even if he does get hurt they get the space back IIRC.

It's almost hard to expect 100 pts from any one player, as we now have 3 players that could very well hit that plateau. I won't complain if they all do it.

How do season tickets work? You put down the deposit, then pick your seats on a certain day? And when do you have to pay the full balance for the tickets? Is it payment-based or am I going to have to seriously think about dropping 4 g's at once? Thanks for the info.
