Datsyuk had 56 hits during the playoffs zetterberg had 15. Datsyuk could barely stand up in the last series because he was tired. the end. ps on skates datsyuks stick is up to his eyes i think he may have added 8 or 9 inches on it for pickpocketing since he was a rookie

to the ignorant people who dont read the every post, I said Z was the deserving candidate. please calm down
-
yeah i do think people would say crosby is better but only in the media. the hardware speaks for itself though
-
to end confusion, all im saying is datsyuk sacrificed his body and by the time they played the pens he had nothing left. otherwise, he would have matched zetterberg in the final few games. i understand the obvious choice is still z.

More proof that Ovechkin is basically awesome

I enjoy watching AO occasionally, but I can't become a big fan because he comes off as conceited in every interview i see of him. Thats not for the NHL. That's also just me. -
I am looking for the lidstrom on-ice interview after the cup when he says something about the front office then the interviewer said alright go enjoy it. (its not pierre mguire) thank you

great season cant wait for a repeat. Zetterberg was well deserving of the conn smythe. However, Datsyuk had 55 hits, and zetterberg had 14. Datsyuk gave his body so much that he could barely stand during the finals. I would give it to Both of them. -
undoubtedly it would have been nice to win at home, however, the experience the wings players just went through will help them for years to come, but obviously wouldnt be worth the experirience if they cant close them out. im just gonna try to be like a player and not to get down with a loss. p.s.....the tigers just lost too p.s....f***

datsyuk lit up crosby and malkin and zetterberg lit up crosby. Malkins best defensive effort is a trip on fil, and hasnt shown up yet in this game. at least 5 people realized by now whos the better duo.

where da hud at

Also, he had 4 minutes of ice time for each the 1st and 2nd period. also, he keeps on dumping the puck instead of carryin it. he's going to finish with 12 minutes of ice time he has to have the flu.
-
i dont know if anyone said this yet but im 98 percent sure datsyuk has the flu he cant even stand up

Did anybody else have a hard time watching lidstrom get up slow? my legs got weak
-
If he has a concussion I say leave him out for the rest of the regular season. The way concussions accumulate often shorten careers, and lidstrom still has a lot to offer in the next few years. Its a good thing he got injured when the wings are so far ahead of the pack, though.

If the NHL could get it right Giguere would have been called a minor for "Holmstrom interference." He clearly got knocked off balance by Giguere. Let's face it though, the Wings are not on their game right now. They'll get it back, and after 5 days of no puck practices they'll perform a thorough beatdown of the Blue Jackets. Let's say 11-0.

Can someone clarify the numbering system for russian hockey leagues? What is Russia-2, Russia-3, etc.? thanks for the help
-
The kid is 21 years old, and He is 6' 4". He is nowhere near his prime years, and from what I've read he has unlimited potential. Any team in the league can use a large D-man who can skate, move and pass the puck as well as he has proven as a rookie.

Something funny that someone should try: imitate the ovechkin barrel roll goal. You definitely will not score, but the judges arent looking for goals, (only 1 point for goal) I think Ovechkin might actually try it himself. in a practice Datsyuk once did 10 different dekes on 10 different attempts and scored every time
-
I have a hunch that Ozzie doesn't get the credit he deserves because he insists on wearing the old school helmet.(good for him) Other than that, I see no reason why people would say he shouldn't be a HOF-er.

The last time Datsyuk was in the all star shootout I believe all he did was shoot. I think he should throw away all his humbleism for one day, even at the expense of the goaltenders respective dignities, so that we can see what else he has up his sleeve. I was reading something on Datsyuk that said in practice he used 10 different dekes on 10 different tries and he was 10 for 10.

Could somebody put together a compilation of datsyuk steals? I know it would take long but this talent just intrigues me as much as his stickhandling

Next year is the debut of semi automatic hydroponic dual quad turbostratic mesophase-pitch-derived laser scoped sticks with handwarmers. They will be used only in Chicago and Phoenix as there is no fans to be distracted from the game. Seriously though, I don't think these heated blades will be a big deal. Also, we will soon find out who is using the heated blades, because when one of the blades dies, the player will appear as if he needs a front end alignment. (going in circles)

zetterberg and datsyuk can dominate a game as much as anyone in the league, but since they are foreign, marketing just doesn't make as much sense, not as many people get attached to foreigners as easily.
