if ozzie keeps playing like he has been, he's on course to shatter a lot of sawchuk's records. doesn't that logically mean that since sawchuk's jersey is retired, if ozzie does break many/all of his records (i don't know all of them off the top of my head, so i don't know if it's feasable for him to actually break them all) his jersey should be retired too? and lids. jeez. no question.

anyone else going to the michigan summer beer festival? it's july 25th and 26th (my birthday!) in depot town in ypsilanti. i think it's like...25 bucks for the 25th, 30 for the 26th and they tack five dollars on if you buy your tickets at the gate. bring a designated driver, it's only 5 bucks for them to get in! i don't know what brewing companies are gonna be there, since the festival page isn't up yet but they usually have an incredible selection of craft beers from all over the state. besides, everyone knows that as far as american beer goes, michigan brews the best! michiganbrewersguild.org for more information as it develops.

i mostly agree. i love porters and stouts! when i first got into beer, they were all i'd drink! i've had so many bad wheat beers that i'm inclined to say i can't stand them either, but there are a few decent ones out there. arcadia whitsun is pretty tasty. sam adams white ale is too. i can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but i know there are decent ones out there. they're lighter and more summery..if you find a good one, it can be really really refreshing this time of year. this reminds me of a joke from the monty python 'bruces' sketch: q: what do american beer and making love in a canoe have in common? a: they're both ******* close to water!

i doubt much of anyone that could be considered part of the population of the city of detroit was lining the parade route. over a million from the suburbs, from windsor, from all over the hell though...that i certainly believe.

i just wanted to let everyone know who wasn't at the parade or the rally, or who left immediately afterward that even after every other member of the red wings organisation was gone, ozzie stayed out for about an hour and a half and signed pretty much every single object placed in front of him, and took pictures w/anyone who wanted them. it was about 95 degrees outside, and he probably could've been off somewhere, probably in some nice air conditioning w/everyone else. we wouldn't have loved him any less. but instead, he chose to hang out w/the fans, and i'm not even joking he talked to EVERYONE and signed EVERYTHING. it was really something. so, here's to chris osgood! a great goaltender, and a great guy!

8:00pm on channel 4. then i think at 10 or 10:30 channel 2 is doing something wings-related. i'm not sure exactly what it is though..

me and rafs skate at the same ice arena. cheli shows up there sometimes too. i'm hoping one of 'em will bring the cup by.
