theres a lot of analysts that feel the Avs are the best team in the West right now. I totally disagree, The wings won all the games versus the Avs this year and the Wings are also considered to have faltered a bit against Nashville ITS LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO WIN IN 4 and anything else was them looking weak. Nashville had a good goalie and played Detroit hard all year long. Wings will win this series.

IMO the Wings will beat the Flames, the Avs and the Stars no problem, ITS THE SHARKS that worry me. If the Flames win tonight then its Wings flames and is the only reason I would rather play them in the second round rather than the Avs. Kiprusoff has proven to be beatable this year, and the Wings beat him last year. The Sharks can get hot like they did at the end of the year and sweep the Wings. So from me GO FLAMES!

Right on, he screws up a lot, but I noticed he has had more speed through the neutral zone and is passing it off a lot more instead of shooting. He can't be expected to put up points, but when Babs puts him in those situations (2nd line, powerplay) he has to play better, which he has lately. Lets not forget guys that Filppula is in his early 20's and has a couple years of experience in the NHL. Andrei Mezaros was amazing in his first year with the Senators, he is on his way out because they rushed him and had him playing with Redden. Let's not get down on Fil yet. He is useful.

For the point about him playing in his crease, that is how he has been and always will be. He is an odd-style of a goalie. Can't fix that with him, watch old video of him. He is always flopping and his game was never position but rather good reaction time. He will get back in the grove if Ozzy ever gets yanked

This is a good thing. My concern is that Osgood did not have good games against Nashville during the season. But they were usually in Nashville where he allowed the early 3 goals. GO OZZIE! The Preds can scrap their 'long range shots' playbook! IT WON'T WORK ANYMORE.

Did anyone bother to watch it on CBC at all last night? I watched it to see an unbiased view. BAD IDEA. Although Dean Brown is always an excellent play by play guy, Harry Neal is the worst color guy. When Datsyuk double pumped to slide it five hole on Ellis for the first Wings goal, Neal thought that he had lost control of the puck and GOT LUCKY!!!!!!!!! to have slid it in. I COULDN'T BELEIVE IT. it really pisses me off when the casual hockey fan might watch that after the Sens game and then beleive the things Neal is saying. ANOTHER example. Datsyuk laid the body many times last night, yet Neal always thought he got the worst of it, or he was lucky to avoid it. ***!
