Meh seems more like anti-hunting sports demagoguery than a properly funny Babcock impression. "We gotta do a way better job of hitting the target with our high powered rifles" etc.
-
Funny, I was screaming "CLEAR THE ****ING PUCK FRANZEN!!!" after he had the puck on his stick and was somehow incapable of chipping it off the boards and out the zone. 3 seconds later it was in the net

Thornton as the man with no heart. Bravo my friend, bravo. And props to all the sharks fans in here. I can't ever remember another playoff series where we've had opposing fans contributing not only so much, but also in the spirit of the thread. If we do play a team with a decent fan-base, normally they just come in here trolling, so good effort guys. Be nice to see if you keep it up after you lose game 2

1) Awesome jersey 2) '97 only for me.

Interesting list of stats - of course as others have pointed out, it doesn't show WHEN penalties were called. I remember after we (and many neutral observers across North America) complained about the biased officiating in the '08 finals, pens fans instantly replied by pointing out that the total number of penalties was even. In fact, they were only even because of all the penalties called after Pittsburgh gooned it up at the end of games 1 + 2 after being blown away. Without that the Pens would've had a heavy advantage in PPs in a series they got pwned in.

I called it in the chat room at the end of the 1st "looks like one of those games" As the game wore on I started getting flashbacks to the Edmonton series

No for me. He barely touched him, just a gentle shove which caught Hamhuis in a freak way. And when you consider that Hamhuis wasn't injured, its the playoffs, and they called a 5 minute major on the play, no way the NHL will hand out a suspension.

Meh, we got away with a high-stick deflection for the goal in game 4 so we shouldn't complain too much. Just be thankfull Howie's leg wasn't sliced open by Jovo's skate.

Y'know, if I kept getting hit in the face whilst blocking shots, I might think about changing my shot blocking technique....

I actually think that's a great point. Case in point there was a goal he scored after he came back from his broken wrist (maybe LA at home?) where Cleary made a great play on the half boards and found Flip wide open in the slot. He had so much space it was like time stood still as he dithered on the puck. Instead of shooting the damn puck like he should, he waited and waited for another wing to come open so he could pass to him. In the end he was on top of the goalie and was left with no choice but to make a nice move and put the puck in the net. The need to able to skate fast and hard are also magnified in the playoffs, and they have always been Filpulla strengths.

Wow, how beautiful was that seeing all the Pens fans crying at the end

That's by far the best pic. The concentration and determination on his face is epic Way to go Jimmeh. I've not seen a goaltender look so fired up in a loooong time

This pic is so disturbing....yet I love it! +rep

Jeez, what a hit! In fact, I'm going to go as far as to say thats one of the best hits I've ever seen. Totally clean, not a hint of controversy. Puck was right there, elbows down, never left feet, not after the whistle (Scott Stevens I'm looking at you).

What a piece of garbage. If the league had any testicles they'd suspend him for a game.

Rearrange the following sentence into a well known phrase or saying Red Lets Wings Go!

http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2010/04/a_must-read_conversation_with.html Good job Mr Ilitch

That's right people, I just +1'd Carman Flip has always been a streaky player. His streaks have to get longer and his slumps have to get shorter (to be fair, this season they have). If he were truly consistent, he'd be a 1st line player instead of 2nd/3rd line.
-
Hilarious! Especially funny how the players are desperately trying to not laugh and ignore them, "Its a playoff game dammit, mustn't relax and have fun or coach will kill me"
-
I gotta admit, I lol'd Especially the Lang bit at the end

If all he traded away was this years 1st, people would be debating if the Kessel trade was worth it...the fact that its also this years 2nd and next years 1st makes it absolutely hilarious. This trade has the potential to rival the Yashin for Chara and a 1st (Spezza) trade. Burke is such a genius

OK, help me out here. Chelios, ?, ?, ? I'm not the best at recognising Wings by their asses.
