Well, Hasek's cap hit is 4mil plus we have 5mil cap space, we need to sign Zetterberg (although his cap hit for next season is only 2.9 mil), Filpulla and Cleary will demand more money.. Another UFAs are: Lilja, Chelios, but those could be signed for same money they are making now.. I think we just will not have enough money to bring in some elite goaltender. It'll be really interesting, but I think Kenny'll do just fine

I think that the fact he want to get into shape in Michigan might be sign that he wants to wear the winged wheel once again. Why not, he may perform in playoffs. And I don't understand why some people think hes "washed up". Yea, hes not young guy anymore, but as he said, theres still some fuel in the tank.

Kenny should sign him if he asks like 0.5 mil for 1 year, even if it wouldn't work, it's worth the risk. He could still be good 4th line player imho.

Flames and Sharks are not playing well now, but there's still 40+ games to play. Both teams have outstanding goalies, solid defense and offense. I doubt anyone would like to play them in the 1st round. I wish Red Wings meet Wild in 1st round, that would be a sweep.

Chelios deserves respect, he's "goddamn old" (as he said )) but he plays really great, he was outstanding in the 07 playoffs imho, I just love that guy, he's true leader, we should be grateful he's willing to play for so little money.

Yep, I do agree, Lilja is definitely the worst defenseman we have. He is big and can fight, but he really makes too many mistakes, I hope K.Holland will trade him before the playoffs.

It's good that Lang left, it gave our young guys more ice time, but we should give him some credit, not that he played well all the time, but was quite good in 2007 playoffs.

Great to see our youngsters stepped up I think they produce more because they get more ice-time and probably feels that their role in the team is now more important.

Commodore from Canes and P.J. Axelsson from Bruins could be good for us. Commodore is big defenseman who can hit really hard, Axelsson is solid, 2-way player. Question is, how much would we need to give them in return..
