Really? 87% of teams that win first two games win the whole series. I am not saying it's over, but Wings are much better team and considering their play in the first two games I do not see how could they lose the series.

Cechmanek sucks and he's not gonna make national team. Vokoun is no.1. Pavelec, Mensator and Stepanek are all young promising goalies, so we will see. It would be kinda cool to see Dom play in 2010 Olympics...against Chris Chelios

Three. Conn Smythes. Roy was much better than Osgood, I do not see how this is even debatable. Hasek won games all by himself, taking pathetic Sabres deep into playoffs. Two Harts. Two Pearsons. Again, I do not see how this is even debatable. Dryden is not close to Hasek or Roy, but he is still much better than Osgood. His career was short, but impressive. Osgood never ever won any major individual award, he was named to second all-star team once. No first team all-star. No Vezina. Nothing. Numers alone do not tell the whole story. Ozzie is good, solid and reliable goale. He is not star player and HoF caliber goalie.

Osgood never was top goalie in the NHL. Never. He is solid goalie with great numbers. Not HoF caliber goalie. Roy, Hasek, Plante, Dryden, Tretiak, Sawchuk etc. just dominated their eras, something Osgood never did.

Probably. I for one am not native English speaker and I come from different culutre, so some words might be more offensive to some members etc. When I write "this team sucks" then it's because at the very moment they indeed suck in my humble opinion. I would never "abandon" this team and I am gonna cheer for them no matter what. But some homers are just ridiculous wihen they bash those who dare to criticize the team or god forbid use "rude" words. That is not equally wrong imho.

Compared to Flyers, Canadiens were definitely finesse team.

That is not my point. My point is that when Wings suck (and they did this at times this season) or some player in particular (Osgood this season) and someone actually say it out loud, like "this team sucks" in that very moment there will be a throng of blind homers bashing the one who wrote "this team sucks". And that is just wrong.

And guess what team beat Broad Street Bullies? A finesse team. Go figure.

OK he had great game and I am happy for him. But that does not change the fact that he sucked all season and when some people start criticizing him some other people jump in and we have a fight. Why shouldn't one have "right" to call bad play a bad play. Osgood did suck and yet the moment someone said that out loud there was a fight. I am not some bandwagon fan but when some player sucks I will say he sucks despite the fact that I am fan of the team. Blind always optimistic homer is a lot worse than pessimist imho. For example mindfly gets bashed a lot for what he says despite the fact that he is right.

Good article. I still don't understand what's so entertaining about two guys punching each other until one of them goes down. Boring. Skilled players generally do not fight and that makes the fights even more boring. The worst that can happen is one big pylon gets injured. Again - boring.

So, you think that Kopecky is better choice than Leino because Babcock will probably play Kopecky in game1 and on? OK, that's perfectly fine. But this is discussion forum, no one thinks they know better than Babcock, Holland and co., but you can still post your own opinion, and that opinion does not have to be identical to Babcock's or anyone's. From what I've seen I would say Leino is more valuable than Kopecky and it's not even close, that's my opinion and that's it. Who would you play if YOU were Babcock? And don't worry I am not stupid enough to think Babcock goes to LGW.com for advice

Why? Kopecky is soft big player with no offensive upside whatsoever and his defensive game is nothing special. Maltby is just as "good".
