Yeah, well Holland just does not have Setoguchi to trade though. Filppula or Hudler are nowhere near as good.

Also, most people have no idea that checking was meant to separate player from the puck, they just see big hits and drool over. Fighting makes team tough and enforcers are super important. Red Wings are soft, which is why they suck every year. Gotta love LGW.

So how about Todd "I hit the post" Bertuzzi or Tomas "Can't skate" Holmstrom. You must be on some incredibly effective crack if you think Jagr wouldn't be able to handle what they do year in and year out. Jagr is likely in his best shape since 2000 or so.

If Jagr went to the Wings, he'd be 2nd or 3rd (Franzen + maybe Cleary are better) best winger on the team. Seriously, if Bertuzzi or Holmstrom can play in the top6, then Jagr is a clear upgrade. This is not even arguable. Plus Jagr would be by far the best player on the 2nd PP unit. For a good cap hit (under 2M) Jagr is a no brainer.

Jagr is in a top shape, and he proved he can play against the very best at this year's WHC, where he was named the best forward. If it's for cca 2M, I'd be estatic. Jagr thrives with a two-way center, he played with Plekanec at the 2011 WHC, and Z and Dats are even better. This could be pretty awesome addition!

I thought the same thing. Wings were badly outplayed, yet somehow they managed to stay in the race, and lost both games due to fluke (1st game) and soft (2nd game) goals.

Zetterberg ought to stop sucking. Franzen and Cleary are playing like crap too. If these three get going, Wings' offense will be good enough.

Sharks. They suck. They barely got by Kopitar-less LA. Predators are far tougher team, and they own the Wings this year. Also, Rinne >>> Niemi.

I think Weber is gonna win this. Good to see Nick got a nomination though.

Not good. Defense is horrible compared to Red Wings standard. Way too much time is spent in our end, and Howard is not exactly playing great either. Barring a complete defensive turnaround, Wings have very little chance, if any, of winning the Cup. Also, it does not help that Modano MUST be on the roster. He is not a very good player anymore and the younger guys at least provide more energy.

A real tribute would be if Price played without a mask, got his face destroyed, stitched up, and then came back with a mask AND played the rest of the game.
